Quakebringer is the latest in the line of creatures who have an ability while they're in the graveyard. Like the incarnations before him, though, it's not a sure thing. You need to keep a giant in play for his ability to trigger each upkeep, and giants usually don't come too cheap.

Unlike the incarnations, however, Quakebringer doesn't particularly care if you have access to red mana. Said giant could be, say... black, like the inexpensive Rotting Giant or the member-by-association Changeling Outcast! Seeking to employ Quakebringer in a monoblack build opens up the door for Buried Alive, effortlessly dumping three of him in your graveyard as early as turn three. How does getting six free damage every turn without having to do anything sound?

If you ever draw the unplayable Quakebringer, don't despair. Discard outlets abound, letting you drop him in your graveyard in exchange for a hit for 2 in the air or a bit of library digging. Having the need for discard means you might as well run Madness cards like Alms of the Vein and Curse of Fool's Wisdom, which help hasten your foe's demise. Throw in some evasive attacks from the likes of the Changeling and Stronghold Rats and your opponent's life total should easily plummet in short order!
