I've been playing around with cards that are:a) cheap, b) inexpensive, c) don't cost a lot, d) are not worth much on the market, e) a couple planeswalkers, and f) a promo card (and one I bought to match it)

It's mostly red splashed with white. I'm new at Magic, but I do pretty well against my friends most of the time. Any pointers are appreciated.I built this when I found a bunch of Boros cards cheap at the local store, and got an Awaken the Ancient in a booster. I know it's high-risk/high-reward, but getting a 7/7 for 4 is too good to pass up.

Also, the point of sideboarding the Soulbright Flamekin is to feed a Shivan, if I'm lucky.
