I really like the deck however I cannot figure what the copy artifact is for in the deck unless at some point an iso combo was in the deck

I don't think it's for any particular thing but rather just having additional copies of good artifacts that you, or your opponents, may have out.

That makes sense but im just so use to seeing it as a combo piece over a value piece

I believe that this is another innovative breakthrough in the cEDH scene. Good job! Really love the deck! +1

Hey. Looking at this wheel-centered deck I was thinking, have you considered Dream Salvage as another payoff of the wheels? I know It might be fringe but it can potentially draw you up to 7 cards, and being an instant it can be used if another player casted a wheel.

I have three points:

1- This deck looks really sweet.

2- Why not run Gemstone Mine over Sea of Clouds ? It appears to have minimal downside in this deck, and due to you needing a lot of colored mana, I think it would be a better land.

3- Would you mind if I made a budget variant on the deck, cutting cards like OG duals, and perhaps make multiple budget variants? I think more players should be able to get midrange EDH lists like this (and Yisan, etc.), and I think this would be a sweet way of showing how EDH midrange works!

SynergyBuild

1- Thanks!

2- I think that's reasonable but it also detracts from grind power. I tend to only play Mine in lists that indiscriminately go fast.

3- Go for it!

Apologies ShaperSavant, I didn't see your message and haven't had much time with this list in particular, though tried to budget it.

Cutting the good lands and wheels just makes it really bad-kinda? I can't say I like it much xD.

I have been testing a combo that could work with this list's main wincon of Lab-Man, and have decided on Swans of Bryn Argoll with Chain of Plasma , old combo, but easy enough to piece together, and efficient overall.

Thoughts?

I love this deck, its in colors I've been trying to build for a cEDH deck and I think the strategy is great. I'll be borrowing heavily to build my own variant. I was curious, what is the purpose of Gilded Drake ? Is it just to steal an opponents creature, or is it part of a combo I'm missing?

Unlife There's not a combo (besides value "combos" with bounce spells). It's an interactive piece, stealing an important or high value creature is a big swing. Steal something like a Zur and you can swing for Necropotence.

Will this deck play the new Narset?

April 17, 2019 7:02 p.m.

SynergyBuild says... #14

Caziel I think? It seems strong, though is a non-bo for numerous cards in the deck. Similarly new Ashiok.

ShaperSavant says... #15

Caziel Yup.

In:

  • Narset
  • Veto
  • Burning Inquiry

Out:

  • Baral
  • Negate
  • Izzet Signet

Still contemplating on Narset's Reversal.

I love the idea of this deck but I am wondering if it will only work in the scope of cEDH. My group tends towards 75% deck and I am interested in seeing how this deck would perform but I was hoping to get all of your opinions on the matter.

Well, if you are into pubstomp kind of games. This deck will do it real hard. Wheel + any payoff, especially thief/narset will really test your friends feelings.

lamocomp1 Do you think that it would do the job with just the wheels and payoffs? I've never been too interested in the Ad Naus deal. I just suppose I'm not sure what to do with the rest of the deck once I've made the cuts I'll need to make for budget reasons.

Interaction for a lot of the deck, countermagic, removal, hate, one-sided stax, etc.

I think this deck can be toned down quite easy without losing the idea. Wheels + Payoffs + Labman wincons are not very expensive. With weaker interaction and ramp package it will be much slower, but the idea will be the same.

lamocomp1 Awesome! I will try to work on that, I really like the idea behind the deck, I just don't want it winning on turn 3 or anything.

Hey there, Really liked your deck, and I tried it yesterday, it seems quite a good pick for my meta here.

I just wonder: have you thought about incuding any sweeper that deals with 3 toughness!? It's quite relevant, dealing with Thrasios, Triton Hero , with our own Gilded Drake , Rashmi, Eternities Crafter , Vial Smasher the Fierce etc. I was thinking on Anger of the Gods , or Sweltering Suns because it can be cicled. O know it can be hard to cast double red, but still we have plenty rainbow lands.. and plenty rocks as well. I ran Mox Opal over Fellwar Stone and it did fine.

_BaaL_ I think that's what Rolling Earthquake and Toxic Deluge are for?

June 12, 2019 1:30 p.m.

_BaaL_ says... #25

SynergyBuild I know, but they're just 2 cards.. I'm unsure to swap Pyroclasm and/or add another sweeper, having 4 total, (although my case it's different cause my LGS has plenty creature based decks)
