Started as just a rough idea for Game Day, but quickly became my go-to Standard deck for as long as it was legal. Mutilate and Corrupt were legal at the same time, and Haunted Plate Mail enables shenanigans with mass removal and certain other neat effects. Now officially retired (see Update).

Well, because the B/R Temple doesn't appear in Theros the rotation messes this up far beyond the losses from M13 and Innistrad block. Out of necessity, this deck is officially retired. It might come back later in some form or fashion (Standard with Black and Red seems to be my one true unifying theme in my personal deckbuilding).

I never won an FNM with this but every game [where I didn't make a bone-headed mulligan decision] was fun, my record was always even or better, and I consistently got positive compliments on it from other players. In the grand scheme of things, this deck was a definite success.
