I remember now why I haven't played this deck in so long. It really needs Ensnaring Bridge. I'm also thinking Golgari Brownscale might be a card to go in the maindeck. At the very least, I should stick Vengeful Pharaohs somewhere in the 75. I'd also like to play Horizon Canopy with Unburial Rites, but that will have to wait until Horizon Canopy isn't $80+ (here's hoping for a reprint in Conspiracy).

This was also the first time I played Goblin Lore. Holy shit that card is nuts...it's like having Breakthrough in Modern.

Round One: Bushwhacker Zoo-- 2-1
Round Two: Naya Burn-- 0-2
Round Three: 4-Color Walkers (no blue)-- 2-0
Round Four: Bant Midrange-- 2-0
Round Five: Jund Dragons-- 1-2

I don't quite see what the deck is trying to do here. Grave Troll isn't doing enough imo when you have 8 creatures, and you'll be dredging trolls minus-ing a troll. Also the worm generator is weak in the same respect. You should have abrupt decay main. Its extremely useful.against 99% of modern decks. Loam/Pox is a great idea though.

@MentorOfTheMeek: I originally had four Abrupt Decay in the main, but eventually moved them to the side. Game one, I'm pretty much going to be as un-interactive as possible. Because of that, Abrupt Decay ends up in the yard without me having cast it. I found I only needed them to deal with Blood Moon, Rest in Peace, etc. where I may just be doing a conventional game of drawing only one card a turn from the top of my library. The same was true for Lightning Bolt.

Golgari Grave-Troll is never cast in this deck. It's purely there to give dredge triggers. Turn one, it's either Faithless Looting or land into play tapped. Turn two, it's Life from the Loam, Smallpox, or Tormenting Voice. From turn three forward, the deck is purely going to dredge cards until it finds Life from the Loam.

Eventually, the game gets drawn out long enough to where you're able to strip away the opponent's hand with Raven's Crime, casting Creeping Renaissance to get Seismic Assault going, or making 7+ tokens each turn with Worm Harvest.

Just seems slow as a strategy. It needs to be a little faster. Maybe the Pyromancer tokens hold you off from dying for a bit, but if you're not playing against meta decks, you don't need decays main iaupose. If you are, I highly suggest at least two. I also play a GY deck and I run 3. Its strong..

I feel like you want to just be as consistent as possible for Loam/Pox. And Etrnal Witness to get Pox back.
