This is my first real attempt at making a deck on my own (took the base ideas of some other decks and added some of my own thoughts). I am relatively new to MTG scene and have a limited card stock but am willing to spend a little cash to get the cards I need as long as they are not to pricey. I want to keep the deck legal in Standard play even though I most likely will not compete with it just play casual games with friends. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Main point is to control the flow of my opponents game by keeping creatures tapped to boost up my Avenger(s) for the kill.

Made some changes based on some suggestions and the recent play testing I've done. It faired well against the white Innistrad event deck and ended up loosing (although just barely) against the premium graveborn deck. It seems to have trouble against my friends burn deck (it consists of 4 creatures and a bunch of instants and sorcery). I basically just have a sideboard just thrown together. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not expecting to win tournament events with this deck I just want to have fun with my friends and be able to not get my butt handed to me if I were to play a tournament quality deck.
