Deck based on tapping and untapping inspired creatures such as King Macar, Pain Seer, and Siren of the Silent Song.

Merfolk Looter and Pain Seer let you search through your deck quickly to set up a combo. Empty opponent's hand with Siren and clear their board with Macar. Aura of Dominion is the main component to abuse these triggers.

Duress, Mana Leak, and Crab Umbra protect your combo/creatures.

Springleaf Drum and Cerulean Wisps accelerate and add some utility.

The deck is a bit slow to win once it has control, since it only has 16 creatures, 1-2 power each. I've considered adding a few larger attackers, but they don't work very well with Pain Seer (huge life loss).

*The ultra-budget version does just fine without Temple of Deceit!

Took it for a spin on MTGO, modern open-play. Took down an artifact combo deck and a warrior deck. Beat a very aggressive werewolf deck in game 1, but had a weak sideboard against aggro so I ended up losing the match. Macar and Siren were very strong, consistently clearing boards and hands whenever a Lightning Bolt wasn't present.

I've since tweaked sideboard a bit, removing some counters in favor of Fog Banks. Squeezed a couple Ultimate Price in the main board. Will test out again soon!
