Removing Combo, More Pips, Foiling Guildgates —Dec. 27, 2025

A number of things to note for this udpate:

1) First and foremost, all the Guildgates have been foiled out.

2) Removing the Wight of the Reliquary + Retreat to Coralhelm portion of the combo including The Necrobloom (or Field of the Dead - also being removed). However, Necrobloom will remain for dredge recursion. Never once have put this combo together, deck does just fine and is super fun without it.

3) As always, increasing the percentage of nonland cards with 3+ colored pips (+4 this update for a total of 46/64 or ~71.8%); Scapeshift might be the next to go, never have cast it and been plenty of fun without it.

+Awaken the Honored Dead \\ -Wight of the Reliquary: Removing the combo as discussed above, replacing with a card with 3+ pips, is interaction, card advantage, and recursion all in one package.

+Archmage's Charm \\ -Retreat to Coralhelm: Removing the combo in favor of a multifunctional tool that is interaction or card draw that happens to have 3+ pips! Never even really wanted to cast Retreat outside of the combo, which itself never happened.

+Gemstone Caverns \\ -Field of the Dead: Removing the combo, better ramp and fixing if in opening hand.

+Hour of Revelation \\ -Sarkhan Unbroken: Never end up casting it when it's in hand, let's deal with problems instead of holding a dead card.

+Render Silent \\ -Teferi's Protection: Great card, don't get me wrong, 1 small problem... doesn't have 3+ pips. Instead we still get protection from wipes in the form of Counterspell with the addition of shutting down storm decks or just ruining any other plans for the turn.

+Dakkon, Shadow Slayer \\ -Abzan Charm: More of a timing restriction, but more functional beyond that - removal, deck filtering, and some potential situational recursion.

+Circle of Dreams Druid \\ -Arcane Signet: Reasons threefold: 1) 3+ pips 2) more mana potential even if only 3) usually never using signet the turn it enters so summoning sickness not really a problem. Potential mana issues here but we shall see!

+Endless Detour \\ -Bant Charm: Honestly just a straight upgrade as it is more versatile in most every way

+Cryptic Command \\ -Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God: Testing this out, we'll see if it, Archmage's Charm, and Circle of Dreams Druid End up being too mana intensive, I do like Niccy B quite a bit and would love to bring him back at some point.
