It's burn, but splashing black for Black Mage's Rod. Black Mage's Rod is pretty insane, being a pinger payoff that is also a non-creature spell that enables it. It's also an artifact for our artifact payoffs, and re-equipping it makes it (slightly) better into removal. We also have 2 Kessig Flamebreather to do this job. 6 of these pingers is the perfect ammount, as they're good in 2s and 3s, but bad beyond that.
The mana base is relatively simple, pure red lands trying to enable our artifact payoffs and Fireblast at the same time, while having 8 black lands to enable our black splash of Black Mage's Rod and Fanatical Offering.
We're on 3 Fanatical Offering to enable the "leaves" effect of Experimental Synthesizer, convert creatures into artifacts for Galvanic Blast, and give us some card advantage. I think 3 is the correct number, as we don't want to see too many copies of this card and it is sorta hard to cast. Our 4th sacrifice enabler is Makeshift Munitions, just a good damage engine that allows us to get over the hump and finish opponents off, especially combined with Synthesizer. Then we have 2 Reckless Impulse for some more card selection, just dig us to the Fireblast and Gal Blast that will get us over the hump.
End the Festivities is a good mainboard sweeper that is run for it's cheap cost and pinging ability. 2 more are in the side for when it's good, and it's easy to side out.
Lava Spike is run over Chain Lightning. There's a lot of red in the meta, and having our Black Mage or Flamebreather burned by the Chain Lightning could be really bad, so we're running this, even though it's worse vs non-red cards.
Sideboard is a pretty standard mono-red sideboard, except with Nihil Spellbomb over Relic of Progenitus to take advantage of our black mana. The card is better with the sacrifice cards, and is also able to banish the GY for 1 mana in a pinch.
