Dense Canopy is such a good one! Definitely one of the most unique effects, and cards like that that are game changing but not game changing from straight up power level, I love those cards.

My biggest pet card has to be Warrior Angel When I built my Kami Neon deck, I finally found a place for this card that has been my favorite forever. I remember getting Sliver Queen and Mox Diamond in packs of stronghold when I was a kid, but I never played anything as much as I played Warrior Angel

Also, I'd have to say Willbreaker I have a 60 card deck that uses the venture into the dungeon mechanic to hit target abilities like, target creature gets -2/0, which sounds underwhelming until it becomes a steal a creature : ) The whole deck became my pet deck, mostly because it was a pretty unhinged idea that I expected to not go anywhere and then it worked so crazy well.

When I was first getting into magic during Stronghold, I was so excited about pulling Warrior Angel. Nevermind that I had pulled, at this point, multiple Mox Diamond and Sliver Queen, I just loved the art on warrior angel and it felt like the next step in Serra Angel that I was playing. In retrospect it is a little silly, but this was a different time. Masticore was the most broken thing around, and I even remember a magazine at the time that had the top 10 cards from Stronghold and Shard Phoenix was number 1. So I may have been in the dark, but we were all in the dark : ) And to this day Warrior Angel just my be my favorite card ever.

Ha, thanks! It's definitely one of those ones that I started throwing together from cards I had, and it actually worked, which is nice because that's not always the case. Just glad I didn't have to buy a lot of stuff for it : )

I'd really like to make a deck for Guardians of Oboro but haven't wrapped my head around it yet. Moonfolk samurai is just too cool of a combination of words : ) But what to actually do with it is the big question mark.

And yep, Warrior Angel is my favorite from a long time ago. I got started playing around Stronghold and was like, meh Sliver Queen, meh Mox Diamond, meh Survival of the Fittest, I'm using Warrior Angel Maybe would have regretted it, but warrior angel is still the coolest to this day, for me at least : )

This is really cool! I haven’t gotten to check out the new Kamigawa set yet, but these cards (both artwork and mechanics) look really awesome. It looks like you’ve got a solid strategy, which would make this deck fun to play with and against.

Also, I totally agree that Warrior Angel is a super sick card. It’s always nice when you can sneak in an old favorite :)

You might want to check out:

Angelic Skirmisher - another way to give your tokens lifelink

Archangel of Thune - lifelink and grows your host

Seraph Sanctuary + Pristine Talisman would go well here too

Exalted Angel + Warrior Angel have an ability like lifelink, so lifelink would stack with that ability gaining you 2x life

Your Abzan Battle Priest and Soulmender are a little underwhelming
