Haven't actually tried to build and use it yet, but I outlined a deck on here with a monocolor commander and only hybrid cards. I touched grass, now I'm shipwrecked in Jund Something with this level of gimmickiness, I'd be okay with because it's not that good. If a deck has one, maybe two hybrid cards, I wouldn't have a problem with as long as they're announced ahead of time. Some of them have pretty unique and interesting effects.

My big problem would be if you used them to gain a clear technical advantage or had a specific use for them based on their color-ness. An easy example of this is Bloom Tender. No, you don't get to claim Tribune of Rot and Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second as multicolor in your monogreen Elf deck for Tender to make more mana. If you try to pull this during a game, you get one and a lecture on permission abuse.

Another example is using something like Ashenmoor Liege, Balefire Liege, Creakwood Liege, Deathbringer Liege, Thistledown Liege, and Wilt-Leaf Liege to give your commander +7/+7. You get the Deathbringer, and the rest go away.

Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second is a good token commander for a budget. She can turn any type of token into a creature instead, and cards like Raise the Alarm or Hordeling Outburst feel a lot more impactful when they are spitting out 3/1s. If you have Requiem Angel on the board then every one of your cat or dog tokens replaces itself when it dies, which combos to give you infinite creatures to sac if you also happen to have a free sac outlet on the board.

Samut, Voice of Dissent is a few bucks to buy but I had a pretty good deck built around her in the past. Since she has so many keywords you run her with Odric, Lunarch Marshal to amplify the damage your creatures are dealing. Samut giving haste makes Etali, Primal Storm a much more viable inclusion. Her untap ability can let you ramp even more with creatures like Somberwald Sage, get extra protection out of Skrelv, Defector Mite, or let you drop a second creature onto the board with Oviya, Automech Artisan. She offers support for several different playstyles so if you get tired of playing the deck one way you can change it up to focus on a different angle of gameplay.

GenericCola Exactly. It's the proportions that matter, and if a card has different hybrid costs, like say, Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second, I want people to start looking at them differently, rather than just go 'oh well'.

Nov 9 and 16 Hey Macleod, Get offa my ewe! (Angus Mackenzie) lost a couple games. Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar stopped my plans to cast Rout on Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second's turn. That misplay killed me--i could have cast Rout on Jesse's turn--but my mistake certainly improved Will's mood as his cats clawed us to death.

July 26

Blim's Blumpkins lost early. Created a blood feud with Will's Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second was a miscalculation I could not recover from. We wiped each other out. 19-24-1. for a .452 win percentage

Have you seen the new Warleader's Call? I recommended it to my friend that recently converted his Jetmir deck into Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second.

I don't think it's on Tapped Out yet, but Conclave Evangelists might be of interest with your Myriad subtheme.
