thank you all those cards look so fun to play and I appreciate you sharing. I can see how artifacts can do that for you ,although not my go to most of the time as the person who taught me magic was big on me if having any permanents try to make them stay(more enchantments then anything or permanents that your just going to blink or sacrifice, he is a big control player) but I did build a Umori, the Collector artifact storm deck as well of thinking of building a Rendmaw, Creaking Nestfoil artifact deck. One card I saw from your pickings that I have never seen but now is calling me to put in some decks is Boarded Window again thank you for sharing and for the warm welcome.

Welcome aboard!! I’ve played a long time, and really don’t have just one favorite color… though I might like artifacts the most. I’m heavy into theme and the flavor of mechanics, and a lot of artifacts scratch that itch. Some of my all-time faves are Boarded Window, Artificer's Hex, Callous Oppressor, Goblin Kites, Cyclone, and Shield Bearer. There’s one for each color lol. The mechanics of magic are amazing, and provide a competition that may be entirely unparalleled… but there’s just as much elbow room for D&D/rpg-type fun as well. Lots of room for creativity!! Again, I’m excited you’re here!!

I have a Haunted House! deck that might have some spooky stuff in it you like! As far as actual functional combos, I think it’d probably just be Tortured Existence and Desecrated Tomb for lots of bats. Some of my favorites are Boarded Window, Cellar Door, and Stuffed Bear… all artifacts, now that I look at them.

Nothing wrong with taking something established and adding a personal touch to it. And that’s the card I was trying to remember, Virulent Plague—I wanted to suggest that but it eluded me.

I think it’s better than Boarded Window here, but still not ideal. Artifact removal is way more common so Virulent Plague has the card type working in its favor, and it does away with that self exile stuff too. The only issue is that at 3 cmc you’re already heading toward a win/loss scenario at that time, and it may not have much impact beyond that point.

Either way, I’m glad you mentioned it so I don’t have to scour the card lists looking for it.

Balaam__ I can't take credit for this. I was googling combos with hunted creatures and stumbled upon this on mtg top 8. I took some of their ideas. I like Boarded Window because it keeps me alive and it's colorless. I don't like tackling more than 2 Mana colors at a time and this helps my Mana curve be more forgiving. I could probably add Virulent Plague in its place

I like this new iteration. Lots of interaction and backup. I think Boarded Window could be replaced with something else, it doesn’t really pull its weight for the cost. Maybe some counter magic like Spell Pierce or even Surgical Extraction or something.

This sort of deck usually uses some amount of for Blood Seeker, Trespasser's Curse, and/or Illness in the Ranks. This deck in particular also has eleven blink effects, but only really wants to blink Hunted Phantasm. I recommend cutting most of these and adding more protection and ways to win.

If you want to stay in , Ghostly Prison and Windborn Muse help prevent attackers, and Boarded Window and Cumber Stone reduce damage. Just note that your damage output will be slowed, so you'll have to find ways to stay active.
