i'm building a mono red burn deck, largely based around instants and sorceries. And i'm looking for good creatures to put in it. stuff like Kiln Fiend and Guttersnipe. i need creatures that will either benefit from me playing instants and sorceries, or add to the benefit

Erm... Monastery Swiftspear and Young Pyromancer to start with? :)

Bedlam Reveler Is good finisher, but normal naya burn is way to go if you want it to be seriously good/Competitive.

If you want to get on the instant and sorcery theme, my suggestion is to add , since it has great creatures like Delver of Secrets  Flip that can make use of your instants and sorceries. If your goal is to make a burn deck and insist on it being mono-, aggressive creatures like Monastery Swiftspear are your best bet.

...there are options beside naya burn, despite what some spikes with tunnel vision say.
(There are good cards that are outside of the most played list)

Blue gives access to Snapcaster Mage, which seems sweet, and Pieces of the Puzzle
Black gives access to Bump in the Night & Claim / Fame the latter may look useless, but combined with the highly underrated Vexing Devil, it gives the opponent the choice of taking 8 damage for , or taking 4 damage plus dealing with a 4/3, or having a 4/3 that needs to be killed twice.

You lost me at "highly underrated Vexing Devil". While the point about some cards outside of stock Boros Burn doing well (most notably the likes of Bump in the Night, and now with the latest Grand Prix we can add Shrine of Burning Rage) is a good one, the Claim / Fame + Vexing Devil angle is just awful. Both cards are subpar on their own, at which point you're blowing an inordinate amount of deck spots on something that is nowhere near as good as just Bolting people in the face.

Idk I have playtested with Claim and Vexing Devil too and it's been decent so far. Best is doing this T1/T2 to put lots of pressure early but it's bad in lots of matchups of course (anything that runs a decent amount of removal basically).

I found out the best thing is to Claim Eidolon of the Great Revel, allowing you to virtually have several more copies which isn't bad at all. The Fame part is somehow relevant on an empty board with a pesky hasty Goblin Guide / Monastery Swiftspear but it's far from gamebreaking.

However, when I hear/read 'instant and sorceries', my mind immediately thinks of Izzet.
