The One Deck To Rule Them All.
Here's a little story for you, I've been playing MTG for a year now, and if there's anything I've learned during that time, it's this : "I have potential to build decks", my first deck was my werewolf deck, my greatest pride, it worked smoothly and for a while I was happy with it. I kept this deck as a proof of my deck-building potential. But the problem was : I couldn't build another deck that was even half as strong as my werewolf deck, and it's not even that strong. I kept on trying and trying, refusing to simply copy yet another decklist that you can find on the net for, to me, it would mean that I simply gave up on my own potential, but for the life of me I simply couldn't build a deck that wasn't barely viable at best if not complete garbage. So tried again and again, knowing that one day I would find a way to make a good deck, a deck that I could be proud to call my own.
Then one day I woke up with a vision. A vision so clear I could almost grasp it. So I ran to my computer and started working on this deck. And this is what I came up with.
The principle of this deck is actually quite simple, turn 1 you play Death's Shadow to put it in your graveyard, then turn 3 you play Varolz, the Scar-Striped and you can scavenge for one black mana your Death's Shadow and boom ! Turn 4 you've just got yourself a solid 15/15, then all you have to do is buffing him with Rancor which gives you a 17/15 with trample. Which, I don't know for you but for me, sounds like a solid win condition.
You can also use the Devoted Druid + Quillspike
infinite combo and either give it trample or sacrifice it with Fling and there you go, you've just got yourself a match !
I've added some ways to fetch your most important cards, like Fauna Shaman or Spoils of the Vault (the latter works just fine with Death's Shadow on its own by the way !) and some Vexing Devil just for a +4/+4 scavenge for one red mana.
