I was looking through the Born of the Gods list, and decided to look at the cards that were designed to be played with opposing colors, for kicks, when I came across Odunos River Trawler.

Bestow to me has been an interesting ability, that ends up being lackluster, because it's hard to get creatures back, and sometimes there are just not good enough Heroic Creatures, However, between Dawn to Dusk and Odunos River Trawler , and Whip of Erebos , there were suddenly plenty of ways to get Bestow Creatures back from the graveyard, making every one of them expendable, if need be.

Erebos's Emissary loves tossing creatures, also, and now I had a way to toss creatures, and get them back, without losing them to the whip. Angel of Serenity also seemed like a good idea, as tossing her and bringing her back with the Whip seemed like a solid line of play, allowing us to get back creatures, or clear the way for an alpha strike.

Agent of the Fates and Baleful Eidolon are very natural for a Black Based deck, especially considering the work they do in Theros Block Contsructed. The new Archetype of Courage makes them near impossible to resist, and makes attacking into our field much harder. Herald of Torment provides us a way to give our Death Strikers ways to block evil things, as well as getting our Emissary in.

Overall, I feel this is a solid deck, that manages to use only a few hyped critters, to great effect.
