Only reasons Thragtusk and Snapcaster Mage are absent is budget constraints.

Basically, I was looking at the Tamiyo/Jace/Entreat the Angels deck and thought: "What are the basic ideas of this deck?" "How can I do this without buying Jace's?" So I came up with this. Garruk allows card drawing, defense, and aggro, not to mention a great ultimate that in a control deck like this, you can pull off.

This deck involves controlling the board and playing creatures with a good amount of power. It's worked pretty well so far, let me know what you think!

I had Mirror-Mad Phantasm, but instead went with old furry here. With flash I can play him after successful counterspell bluffing, he regenerates(take THAT thragtusk!) and can do some early hitting.
