This is my take on a Vito Lifegain Deck. It relies primarily on stacking triggers to sap life somewhat slowly from your opponent by using the interaction between Cruel Celebrant/Bastion of Remembrance with the Afterlife mechanic. Every creature with Afterlife in this deck replaces itself upon death with a Spirit Token. Teysa Karlov doubles the number of triggers you get from Celebrant, Bastion, and Afterlife doubling life gain and tokens generated by Afterlife. Then Teysa gives those tokens Lifelink and Vigilance. If you are able to keep a Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose in play each of these interactions gets a boost by sapping even more life. If your opponent doesn't die after a good couple of turns, you can accelerate into the Revenge side of a card:Revival/Revenge card using Priest of Forgotten Gods to help get you there. If your opponent fails to clear multiple Priests from the table you can potentially kill them on turn 4ish. I have cleared many-a superfriends deck this way, slaughtering them before they can ever get setup to apply whatever superfriends bullcrap they think they are going to pull on you. Playing an opponent with counterspells? Eh. This deck can easily outpace them using card advantage from Priest and Village Rites. This deck utilizes a shell that essentially wants our creatures to die, and that is what makes this deck so damn dangerous. Almost every creature death fuels our opponent's demise meaning we don't even have to attack to win the game. You could take out your Afterlife creatures for Cat/Oven nonsense. I have also played this deck with 3-4 Kaya's Wraths in it with more Afterlifers using Kaya's Wrath as a wincon to trigger lots of Celebrant/Bastion triggers. I haven't played this deck on the table yet, I have pretty much only played this on the ladder and causal MTGA que's I will totally admit that sometimes this deck feels like 23 lands is too few. Paper-magic-wise, 23 is perfectly fine. With the MTGA shuffler however, 24-25 seems appropriate. If you wanted to up the land count for an MTGA version of this deck I would drop the Kaya's Wrath for another land. Maybe drop a Swamp for 2 Temple of Silence for the scry.
