Dominaria —April 28, 2018

A few recent additions, including a couple cards from Dominaria:

Daring Archaeologist: The Hammer is so important in the deck that I wanted another way to recur it (or any other artifact). The fact she gets bigger for any artifact or legendary spell is just a nice bonus.

Helm of the Host: A couple people have suggested Blade of Selves. I think I like this equipment better. it's more expensive to cast but will let me keep a non-legendary Nazahn with Haste as opposed to having to immediately sac them.

Sylvan Library: Just a great card draw spell that can come down early.

Qasali Slingers + Regal Caracal: I noticed I had a decent number of cats, including Nazahn of course. Decided to add a couple more cats that interact with other cats. The Slingers offer removal as well as some protection against fliers. The Caracal provides a couple more bodies for equipping as well as an anthem effect.

Dispatch. You'll likely always have metalcraft online.

Ralsek, I would cut Mind Stone probably. Sol Ring is banned in my usual playgroup. Otherwise it would totally be in here.

I typically have that disclaimer in my deck description so that I don't get a million suggestions to add Sol Ring lol. I should probably add it in this deck description too!

Maybe find a space for Clock of Omens? It can be great to let your equipment (which doesn't care if it's tapped) function as pseudo mana rocks (as long as you have at least one actual mana rock). Let your equipment pay for its own equip cost! Y'know, if things have gone downhill and the plan to equip for free has failed.

It might be a bit too slow, but it's kinda neat.

hey, great list ! Sylvan Reclamation and Return to dust can be good additions against god decks and indestructible artifacts.

Mistveil Plains in order to get back your hammer if it gets destroyed ;)

Consider Blade of Selves yes if you equip it to Nazahn you will have to sacrifice the extra legendary creatures but not until after you get the trigger to search for extra equipment. Please ignore this if you are playing mainly 1v1.

Talorc03, I hear ya when it comes to lands. Usually I run about 37 and then shift up and down based on average CMC and amount of card draw. So far I am finding 35 sufficient in the deck due to lower CMC and good ramp. I'll definitely throw in another one if I find myself mana screwed. Hasn't come up yet though.

Ralsek, thanks! I've kinda gone off Return to Dust and Sylvan Reclamation, especially in a lower CMC deck like this one. If I threw in an exiling artifact/enchantment removal, it would probably be Forsake the Worldly. I really like its flexibility with the added cycling. Sure, you don't get the 2-for-1 but it's great at 3 mana and the cycling ability. Don't know what removal I'd cut to make room for it though.

Senomar, I hadn't thought of Mistveil Plains...thanks for the suggestion! Do you think it's better than something that would just bring the Hammer right back to hand? For example, I've thought of adding Ironclad Slayer to bring it back to hand (and also have another body on the field).

Treehugger003, I've thought about Blade of Selves. I don't own a copy, but I see its use. In a 4 player game it would offer pretty solid card advantage, tutoring up a couple more equipment. I may pick one up!

One is a land (and a "plain" very important for some Farseek or Emeria, The Sky Ruin) and the other is a creature, you can run both :)

Such a vulgar title and description. If I could report this deck tech I would.

Blade of Selves can help cheat out the Kaldra pieces quickly. equip Blade of Selves onto Nazahn, Revered Bladesmith, then attack. You get three triggers of Nazahn's ETB effect before the legend rule applies, due to Blade of Selves giving the equipped creature myriad. Even if you don't run the Kaldra pieces, it's a good equipment to have to fetch more equipment.
