Traded my Kiki-Jiki —March 5, 2015

There was a trade that was too good to pass up, and so I have lost my Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Throwing in Staff of Nin instead, but I'll miss getting 2 Solemn Simulacrums every turn.

Also comment sweep. Thanks for all the help!

If you're going to run with ETB effects I would strongly recommend Conjurer's Closet since you can repeatedly punish opponents.

Interesting idea. I might pull out Cauldron of Souls for it. Thanks!

I noticed you have lots of cards with triggered abilities... so i think Strionic Resonator is a must-have for you.Twinflame also looks nice here, especially since it can create an infinite number of creatures on the field combined with Dualcaster Mage (don't forget to cast Twinflame on 2 targets or this combo won't work).

Also feel free to give a thought about what could be improved in my Zirilan EDH:

Dragons... lots of Dragons (Help appreciated)

@Chandrian Strionic Resonator would be good, but it is rare that I have the mana necessary to activate Feldon and then use Strionic Resonator. It could be valuable, but I'm trying to use cards that are good across the entire game rather than just the late game.

The Twinflame combo that you mentioned doesn't work. You cast Twinflame targeting Dualcaster Mage and another creature. It resolves, and you get a copy of Dualcaster Mage and the other creature. However, Twinflame is already off the stack, and so it can't be copied. I would need a second way to copy Twinflame, and that seems like it would be too much work. I'm currently not trying to add in infinite combos anyways, the only one that is currently in the deck is Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts, and that is because I added the cards for their abilities rather than the combo.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The combo i was talking about is:

  1. you target 2 creatures with Twinflame

  2. Play Dualcaster Mage (it's flash so Twinflame is still on the stack)

  3. Target Dualcaster Mage and any other creature you control with copied Twinflame

--> infinite creatures on the board... with haste !

Oh, of course. I probably shouldn't comment just after getting up. Also the combo you mentioned works with an unstrived Twinflame, you just get an infinite number of Dualcaster Mages instead of Dualcaster Mages and another creature.

Anyways, I'm trying to make this a synergy/value deck rather than a combo deck, I I won't be adding it in. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker will give me more overall value since he is reusable, plus he can be targeted by Feldon if necessary.

I like this deck. The only thing that comes to mind would be Stalking Vengeance. But it doesn't have as good a synergy as warstorm surge

@K34 Stalking Vengeance is good, but as you said Warstorm Surge is better. I'm also trying to cut back on creatures that are only good when they are hardcast onto the field, since Feldon is what this deck is built around. Still one I will consider, but I cut it from an earlier version of the deck and so it may not be ideal.

I really like the deck, and I think that you have definitely done a good job capitalizing on Feldon of the Third Path's ability. However, there is one thing that I found. Sundial of the Infinite doesn't allow you to keep the tokens indefinitely; Your opponent's end step becomes the next end step. What Sundial of the Infinite lets you do would help with Last Chance, but it only makes Feldon's tokens last for one more turn.

Another fun card to run with Feldon is Confusion in the Ranks. pure silliness.

@SolelyUbiquitous I'm sorry, it would seem that I missed your comment. Also you are incorrect in your assumption about the sundial. The sacrifice trigger for Feldon's tokens go onto the stack at the end of the turn, and you activate Sundial of the Infinite in response. This will exile the trigger off of the stack and it will not trigger again.

@jandrobard That card is hilarious, I run it in one of my chaos decks but I never thought about adding it in here. Definitely one to test out. Thank you for the suggestion.
