deck:energy-elves/ has been updated with a new Temur version.


Budget Replacements

  1. Evolving Wilds and more basic lands replace Botanical Sanctum and Spirebluff Canal.
  2. Cultivator of Blades replace Verdurous Gearhulk.
  3. Blossoming Defense replace Smuggler's Copter.

The manabase is much different because the Fast lands, Botanical Sanctum and Spirebluff Canal are not budget options. In there place is Evolving Wilds and more basic lands. Using Wilds is not ideal by any means. I would much rather use just Simic colors with Woodland Stream instead of Wilds and cut red, but Harnessed Lightning is such a good versatile creature removal spell in this deck and excellent with Rashmi, Eternities Crafter because it's an instant. Splashing red for Harnessed as well as letting me converge a bigger Skyrider Elf is worth it.

Smuggler's Copter is the most expensive card in Energy Elves, Blossoming Defense is replacing it. Other possible replacements are Kujar Seedsculptor, Armorcraft Judge, Ceremonious Rejection, Unsubstantiate or Glimmer of Genius.

Verdurous Gearhulk is the second most expensive card in Energy Elves and as such is not a budget option in his place is Cultivator of Blades. Blades is an Elf who goes very nicely with the tribal theme and Stoneforge Masterwork.
