This is a combo deck filled with artifacts, abusing a commonly known combo, Dramatic Reversal and Isochron Scepter. This combo requires at least 3 mana from nonland permanents to make infinite untaps and infinite mana, killing with an Elaborate Firecannon. This is how the deck wins.
You should play Beatless if you:
  • Like consistent and intuitive gameplay

  • Dislike interacting with the opponent (Counterspells... ew)

  • Like a deck tailored around a combo

  • Dislike creatures and combat

  • Like knowing you can always beat certain decks

You should not play Beatless if you:

  • Dislike consistent combo

  • Like creatures and combat

  • Like interacting with the opponent (counterspells/removal)

  • Dislike knowing certain decks will always beat you.

If you still want to build or play this deck, then by all means, read on.

Though this deck plays similarly to the average combo deck, by ramping and tutoring/drawing cards to find the combo. This deck only runs twelve lands, but it runs plenty of nonland mana in the form of Mistvein Borderpost and it's kin. It also runs Mind Stones and Mox Opals for more mana. These sources can be untapped with Dramatic Reversal for the mana we need to combo out, and also ramp us.

The deck doesn't have much draw, Street Wraiths barely count, and one draw per turn wouldn't cut it. Instead the deck uses Muddle the Mixture, Dimir Infiltrator, and Shred Memory to find the combo pieces. If you didn't realize, all of the combo pieces are two mana (Isochron Scepter, Dramatic Reversal, and Elaborate Firecannon).

14x Borderpost

Or more specifically:

1x Firewild Borderpost4x Fieldmist Borderpost1x Wildfield Borderpost4x Mistvein Borderpost4x Veinfire Borderpost

These cards are the major backbone of our mana, they allow us to have a single land in hand, and know we have all the mana we need. They are slow, sure, but the get us the win, and the combo is fast enough to compensate for them.

4x Mox Opal

This deck runs Mox Opal as it's fastest way of making mana. It does that job well, and can help combo out better than the borderposts can. Sadly, I can only run four, and they are legendary.

4x Mind Stone

Are you sick of mana rocks already, I am, but this is one of our few ways of drawing cards, so I guess it is pretty good. It also makes for some really fun plays, like tapping two lands for a Mind Stone, tapping it for a borderpost, and bouncing one of the lands, stuff like that.

4x Street Wraith

In the same way Mox Opal is free mana, this is free card draw, and sure, that isn't free, it costs two life, but a combo deck can pay two life if it means infinite mana and damage.

4x Dimir Infiltrator, 4x Muddle the Mixture, and 4x Shred Memory

These twelve are our tutors, they give this deck an edge over other combo decks of the similar kind. Without them, we'd never have our combo, and if we replaced them for Serum Visions, our deck would be the worse for it.

4x Isochron Scepter, 4x Dramatic Reversal, 2x Elaborate Firecannon

This is our combo, we need it to win, if you question why we only run two Elaborate Firecannons, it is because they do nothing without the rest of the combo, whereas the rest of it makes infinite mana, and at least Dramatic Reversal can make mana by itself.

This deck isn't mine, I simply edited it, and spruced it up, then made this description to help better explain it, all credit goes to soliced and his deck Beatless, for creating this combo.
