Sideboard

Enchantment (4)

Maybeboard

Gruul is usually a very aggressive deck, but taking advantage of the high-value "power 4 matters" synergies can really only start on turn 3. Therefore, I took a more midrange approach.

Wildwood Tracker is a budget Pelt Collector, sort of. At the very least its ability will always activate in this deck-the only humans are in The First Iroan Games.

This is my first deck with substantial ramp so I hope I haven't gone overkill with 3 sources: Ilysian Caryatid, Paradise Druid, and The First Iroan Games.

Nessian Hornbeetle, Warden of the Chained, and Gruul Spellbreaker are the heart of the deck. The beetle is basically a 2 mana Pelt Collector, while Warden and Spellbreaker are overstatted power 4 minions with great passive effects.

Purphoros' Intervention is an amazing, budget(!!) mana sink to finish off my opponent and is really what makes the deck midrange.

I'm a little worried that the deck doesn't have enough removal or draw, so I've covered that somewhat in the maybeboard.
