even tho stasis is legacy anyway

yeah this is meant for modern, but in casual that would be pretty fun!!! I happen to have a playset for some reason, too.

Maybe put in some Phantasmal Bear s and powerful artifacts, just in case you don't draw correctly or your opponent foils your plans.

August 12, 2014 3:03 p.m.

good idea! I'll think about it!

August 12, 2014 6:49 p.m.

Do you think Myr Superion would work humanbean?

I think it would do ok. I'm not very familiar with decks like this. I just tried to make an artifact illusion deck, which required the bear, Lord of the Unreal , Wurmcoil Engine and cards to find powerful artifacts.

How 'bout Fabricate ?

August 13, 2014 9:38 a.m.

If I go towards the Wurmcoil Engine route, I'm definitely running 4 of those!!! Thanks for the suggestion ruben5000!! that + Treasure Mage would allow me to only need one Wurmcoil Engine which saves a ton of money! I also like Steel Hellkite , what do you think of it?

What does Delver have to do with the combo? I get the infinite mana with Pili and Architect, but how does that help Delver?

August 27, 2014 10:37 a.m.

the delver is in here as a back up beat-down strategy in case I can't combo off. Also, my opponent will usually kill the delver, which gets rid of a removal spell, saving my combo. With 28 instants and sorceries and 4 slots, I felt that delver just belonged in the deck. There are other synergies too, like using serum visions or telling time to get an instant or sorcery on top.

August 27, 2014 10:48 a.m.

Ok that's what I was thinking. The synergy is obvious for Delver to be in here, it just seemed like you were describing it like he was part of the combo. Sorry for spam. +1

Hallowed Fountain Sphinx's Revelation Azorius fetchland, Iona, Shield of Emeria Are you worried about burn?

August 29, 2014 7:07 p.m.

sixsamuraisoldier

splashing white is pretty irrelevant, but burn can usually be a concern. The reason those cards don't really help me is because they hurt my life total, and Iona doens't win me the game when she enters. Sphinx Rev can be a nice 5th BSZ and does indeed win me the game at instant speed. This deck is supposed to be fast, so casting the Rev not infinitely isn't helping all too much. The most I've evern been able to Blue Sun's Zenith for without going infinitely is 2 or 3, and 2-3 life isn't worth the $200 dollars to me. Also, do you have any ideas against burn? I don't wanna use my infinite combo to deal with it, cuz they usually kill my creatures. I thought of Witchbane Orb because I can ramp to it on turn 3 if I needed too. I'm trying to stay budget, so 4 Leyline of Sanctity is not possible for me. And is Hurkyl's Recall a must have against affinity? thanks for the suggestions!

August 30, 2014 11:08 a.m.

Ah, you're on a budget! Alright, let's see, first of all, yeah, I would personally splash white because it gives me access to great azorius cards as well as meta cards, stony silence, aven mindcensor, kataki, war's wage, etc. But, yeah, as an Affinity Player, Hurkyl's Recall and Shatterstorm are second only to Stony Silence (Mirrodin's Public enemy #1 :P)

August 30, 2014 12:23 p.m.

Hahaha yeah!! White wouldnt be bad to splash!! maybe like some glacial fortresses, a sphinx rev, and some white removal to eliminate the dismembers and bad sideboard cards would be pretty good! unfortunately stony silence and kataki completely down my deck lol sixsamuraisoldier

I dont own very many of these cards, and I want other people's opinions before I buy them! I plan on going the UW semi control route with a back up combo and delver plan! I have two elspeth suns champions, are they too slow? would knight errant be reasonable if not?

August 30, 2014 1:12 p.m.

nah elspeth is unsplashable. I'd need Mystic Gate for that. maybe just a splash for 2 paths, a rev and 2 Rest in Peace . The only dual lands I can do are 4 Glacial Fortress . If someone comes up with an absolutely undeniably amazing white/azorius idea, then maaaaaaybe some Hallowed Fountain action is fine.

August 30, 2014 1:59 p.m.

path is amazing, so i might just go 4 fortress and 2 path and 1 rev and thats it for white

August 30, 2014 2:02 p.m.

actually, splashing black for mainboard dismember action + more black win cons is pretty epic. Path is great, but dismember does practically equal work, and doesnt get stuck by chalice of the void
