Hello everyone, recently climbed to Diamond from Gold with this Elemental setup on Arena, so I figured I'd share the love. There's already similar decks left and right, so if you want to follow that setup instead, by all means. I am by no means a professional when it comes to deck-building, and only have my own personal performance with it to reference. Don't even know if this qualifies as a midrange deck honestly.

Let's start with Chandra, since they decided 4 copies of her in a single set was a great idea. Acolyte is not something I'd run personally, as her only benefit is giving your other Chandra's more counters. While the idea of instantly putting 4 elementals on the field (provided you have regulator), seems neat, the fact that they die the turn after isn't. Flame's Fury has a nice gimmick where you could burn them for 20 with regulator, but that's honestly about it. As amazing as Awakened Inferno seems, sweeping the board and giving your opponents dot's; Novice Pyromancer is the true queen, giving all your elementals a 4/0 buff with regulator on the field is a great game ender if you can just get 4 through.

Risen Reef is self explanatory, and will often be your opponents first target due to how much advantage it can generate. Omnath, Locus of the Roil combo's nicely with it but Scampering Scorcher is it's true friend, giving you 3 cards per reef instantly. I find Omnath to be a much better creature removal or bolter, to open up a win state with your other elementals, but his buffing capabilities have allowed me to stall out games time and again.

On to the non combo cards. Scorch Spitter is surprisingly useful, his 1 indirect, helping immensely against planeswalkers you can't quite get to yet, and serving as a good 1 drop when you get Leafkin Druid on the field turn 2, playing it and risen reef together on turn 3 to start an early card advantage. Leafkin providing 2 mana once you have 4 creatures is also immensely helpful as it allows you to keep playing elementals after Scorcher hits the field and combo's with Reef, hopefully just flat out netting you another Leafkin.

Overgrowth Elemental is honestly something that COULD be replaced, but the extra life and counters he accumulates can stall out aggro decks, which is useful. Meanwhile despite running 4 of Creeping Trailblazer, he's mostly there to assist, bumping up your team, and serving as a good beater himself, provided you have other elementals on the field. He can also provide that extra oomph you need if regulator isn't on the field but Novice Pyromancer is.

If I have to explain why a basic creature removal spell like Shock is in the deck, then please escort yourself to a simpler game. I bit the bullet and ran this at 4 when my usual nemesis: Dimir, came strolling through with a Thief of Sanity, and I swore I never wanted to draw one of the 3 in my deck more than I had then. Joke was on me his ToS picked it up and shocked my Reef. Lesson learned.

And finally, the last card: Bag of Holding. You might have an idea of what this is for based on the story above, Dimir. With Thought Erasure being so popular (it definitely deserves to be), and this card seems tailor made to counter it, and whatever other discard they may be running. It's discard and draw effect is useful on it's own, and returning your discards to your hand when you choose, albeit at a steep price is worth running two. Also you can finally figure out what happens when you put a Bag of Holding inside another Bag of Holding.

There's numerous ways to win out with this deck, and be it control (rush them with Trailblazer and Scorcher), aggro (hold out with Overgrown and Scorcher), or midrange (ramp faster than them, and secure a win with more creatures and damage), this deck has become a favorite of mine already. One word of advice though, keep it to two Risen Reefs on the field unless you're desperate. The most embarassing loss I took with this deck was when I was in win condition, then decking myself out because I didn't realize I had 0 cards in deck, had Omnath on the field, and obviously more than 8 lands on the field, and then played a mountain. GG.
