Weight Advantage

Conspiracy

(Start the game with this conspiracy face up in the command zone.) Each creature you control assigns combat damage equal to its toughness rather than its power.

I wanted to add that for cards like this, they have a different template, meaning they have some effect referencing a draft and that part of them doesn't work outside it. An example of why these can't be used would be Pyretic Hunter, which you could then claim you'd drafted it 15th, making it a 15/15 menace for 5. But even realistically, how would you verify whatever number they chose?

That template is also the same as the conspiracy type of cards, like Weight Advantage and those cards are not allowed outside the conspiracy draft. So while gatherer site says Regicide etc are legal, anything you can't verify, can't be used. And then those cards with that template follow that logic.

And that's the biggest takeaway: the template will tell you if you should be considering using it or not. Conspiracy template= don't bother.

There are cards from the conspiracy sets that do work and those don't have the special template. I found out in mtgo that the "monarch" and "vote" mechanics work in normal games after having it played against me then verifying in the comprehensive rules. So cards like Jeering Homunculus, Skyline Despot, Illusion of Choice, Selvala's Stampede...those last 2 could be a pretty good combo.

I see that you are running an Unmake here, which is all fine, I'm just wondering - why Unmake when you can have a Path to Exile? Also, there is no Command Tower or Sol Ring. I do, however, love the mechanic you are using. I love to play around with Weight Advantage in take the crown drafts. Jeering Homunculus, anyone? I think that with some minor improvements, this would make a killer deck in any EDH format, not just tiny leaders.

I had an absolutely nutty draft experience a few days ago. I was playing the new conspiracy set with some friends who don't spend all that much time drafting (that explains part of my success). We all agreed to walk into the draft more or less blind about the set to help out the lesser players.

I ended up getting a pack one filled with decent commons and not much else. My pick was Sinuous Vermin. My second pickup was Arcane Savant followed by Regicide. Great first three picks. I later learned that the cards my opponents had taken from the packs weren't even bad ones, so it's not like I was handed freebies. Nonetheless, I figured I was going to go for dimir control splashing red after I kept getting great dimir cards. The crux of my deck was Weight Advantage, Repulse, Skittering Crustacean, Sinuous Vermin, decent removal, Illusionary Informant, and Traumatic Visions. Red ended up being rather locked down after some point while dimir remained fairly open. Despite picking up a few Tormenting Voices, I figured with two Merfolk Looters, I'd rather go for more consistency and stuck with dimir.

Things got insane when I opened up a pack three Expropriate.

Exiling that thing with Arcane Savant was brutal. I had an opener of 4 lands, Arcane Savant, Vertigo Spawn, and Repulse. My first draw was another Repulse.

Playing Arcane Savant with Expropriate tied to it three times made me feel like I was piloting Narset, Enlightened Master while firing off Time Stretchs.
