Commander Legends Reprints

All right folks. Commander Legends was just announced, boasting, to put it lightly, a wide roster of SEVENTY new legendary creature cards. So, naturally, this leads to a few questions:
1) Who else here is concerned about the potential cost of some of these commanders? I don't know what these packs are going to cost but I am quite worried as a college student about these new and exciting generals being crazy expensive.
2) Are they reprinting legendary creatures? If so what would you guys like to see reprinted?

That's a lot of fair points, Pervavita. I anticipate a lot of cards I'm going to wish I could use in Modern and Pioneer!
Now that you mention it, I hope they print and reprint some good mana rocks. As a boy on a budget, I occasionally find it quite difficult to get my hands on any staples- and mana rocks are essential to a game of commander.

im gonna make a wild guess. Sol Ring will be reprinted. :D
Besides the obvious, it would be awesome if they reprinted Fetchlands and maybe Mana Crypt or Mana Vault .
Although, that may make the boosters ridiculously costly, so maybe not.
Also, i want 2 of the new legends to be an Urza planeswalker who can be your commander, and a Phyrexian god Yawgmoth.

Did they consider Yawgmoth a god? I'm not super familiar with the old lore (despite being a total vorthos). Either way, I don't think he technically was so idk.

Personally I'm more interested in potential reprints of expensive commander staples such as Concordant Crossroads .

Regarding the second question: There are supposed to be 70 new legends (i.e. legendary permanents) in the set. So I guess they will also count legendary artifacts and especially planeswalkers for this number. They didn't say a word regarding reprinted legends, so we'll have to wait. A card I expect to be included is Arcane Signet . As the idea of brawl precons seems to have died in favour of commander precons, WotC will have to find ways to distribute the card, and CL1 seems like a great way to do that.
I really do hope the packs won't be too expensive. Up to 7 bucks would be fine, but I really don't want to pay 10 oder even 15 for them. If the packs happen to be on the more expensive side, there'll definitely be some more expensive legends, but hopefully nothing crazily expensive.
What I'm looking forward to are new Kamigawa legends. There still isn't a Pearl Ear, and I really want a Kiodai-Commander. Kobo would be a blast as well.

That's fair. As a lore nerd, I'm sweating a little bit with all these new commander products, as they make bookkeeping very difficult for these lists: New Format: Unlikely Alliances, New Format: Unlikely Alliances, Page 2, and Unlikely Alliances: Into the Unknown
Long story short, together, the three are a list of every legendary creature in Magic by home plane. There are several that we do not know the home planes for, and I suspect that number will increase drastically upon the release of Commander Legends.

Neither Meteor Crater nor Overabundance have ever been reprinted, so I would very much like to see them in this set, and a reprint of Lightning Angel with new artwork (preferably by either Raymond Swanland or Steve Argyle) would be nice (not that there is anything wrong with the original artwork by R.K. Post, however).

Forgive the double post, but a reprint of either Angel of Despair or Ashen Rider with artwork by Seb McKinnon would be amazing, as well.

Whoa- those are some really neat cards! I wonder how many actual staples are getting reprinted. After all, Wizards has made it clear that there are going to be a heaping load of new legends and new cards... how many actual reprints can they stuff in with so much new stuff?

Neither Worldly Tutor nor Grim Tutor have ever been reprinted, so they both very much deserve reprints in this set.

I would also like to see reprints of Mundungu and Ertai, the Corrupted , because they are very awesome cards and would look great in the new frame style.

Edric, Spymaster of Trest definitely needs a reprint, because, while his price is not too high, he can be difficult to find.

I would like to see Tower of Fortunes in this set, since it has not been reprinted in some time, as well as Urza's Blueprints , since that card has never been reprinted, at all, and I am certain that it would look great in the new card frame.

Another card that is long overdue for a reprint is Righteous Aura , since that card is one of the best cards for preventing damage in this game, and this would be an excellent set in which to reprint it.

I definitely would like to see reprints of both Meteor Crater and Deserted Temple, since neither of those cards has ever been reprinted, but both would be very valuable in this format.

It is intended for draft so I wouldn't expect this to be much more then a normal standard draft pack; if it is then around Modern Horizons ($6-10 USD). Even with EDH being the most popular format the cards are only legal in EDH and Legacy so I can't see any but a commander on the level of Atraxa popularity being more then $15 (unless we get a W/R commander that is Feather or better good that will spike).
I do however see a few staples getting printed on the level of Cyclonic Rift that will be what makes the set have value. My hope is they are more multi colored so not to have more cards like Sol Ring that must go in every deck.
I suspect most the value of the set will center on the $1-$5 range where your EV on packs is about the same as it would be on any other product but there is less chance of "winning the lottery" and more of an even keel of value. My reasoning is that they are going to want to excite people with the set and as it's for singleton and is drafted to play as a group (That would be what I would expect from the target audience being EDH players) that you will get so many cards aimed at us that it will water the high cost cards and carry up the lower cost cards. What I'm getting at is a set that has 30-40 playable common and uncommon's where most standard sets don't see that much as there just aren't that many good decks in standard at any one time to support that from one set.
