I'm really interested in trying to find a way to make Waste Not work in Modern. The idea is for this to be a sort of combo deck, using Waste Not to benefit from your opponent discarding their entire hand with something like Reforge the Soul. Manaforge Cinder allows you to convert the black mana from Waste Not into red, if needed. Emblem of the Warmind lets you swing with any zombies you make from Waste Not, and Amulet of Vigor helps accelerate mana and lets your zombies from Empty the Pits come into play untapped.
