HUGE Revamp —July 17, 2017

My deck has become a force to be reckoned with in my lgs! Soft stax and lockdown, along with mill and counterspell, this deck does it all! I have acquired a ton of new and better cards, and am planning on making it stax eventually when I can get pieces for it.

You should definitely abuse ETB triggers, taking advantage of Brago and Panharmonicon, so most card draw can be made in the form of Cloudblazer, Mulldrifter and such, removal can be taken care by Duplicant, Phyrexian Ingester, Luminate Primordial and so on.

This being said Torpor Orb is definitely a game loss for almost any Brago deck. It's too counter producent.

Tangle Wire is okay for a stax kind of build, as are Stasis and Winter Orb, but I personally found the deck much funnier to play in a grindy value game plan than on a resource denial one.

Definitely get Sol Ring and Strionic Resonator unless you are against running infinite combos. These two cards with Brago make for one of the most varied and consistent win conditions existent in EDH. You can win in almost endless different ways getting infinite blinks with that. Make it with Altar of the Brood and you just need to fetch 3 artifacts from your deck. Tezzeret, Fabricate, Trinket Mage, Inventors' Fair all tutor for artifacts and tbat virtually multiplies the number of copies you're running for your combo. Then, if you manage to get just Sol Ring and Strionic Resonator and miss the finisher for the combo, you can get it with Mulldrifter, Cloudblazer, Cloudform, Lightform, Traveler's Cloak... I mean there are so many ways to assemble this combo and win really early in the game that the only reason I see not to run it in a Brago deck is being against going infinite. I know some cards are not easy to find, but at their fair price they're all really budget.

Cloudform and Lightform are only on their best within the infinite combo or, at least, with an Archaeomancer out. You can blink the manifest tokens to get them back if they're permanents, remember, even lands. If you blink a non-permanent spell though, it goes into the graveyard. Archaeomancer gets it back but if you don't have it that might cost you valuable spells. Within the combo though, they will manifest your whole deck until you manifest your win condition and then just keep blinking other cards and the manifested win con, of course. (unless you feel really playful and want to win with a army of manifest tokens, but I don't recommend that path! :p)

About Lightning Greaves it usually is protection in every EDH deck, but in Brago you will usually want to blink him too, and the Greaves prevent that, so keep that in mind before you add them. I've just recently removed mine from the deck.

Thank you so much for your help!

A lot of the cards in my maybeboard are ones I plan on getting but can't right now.

I plan on maybe eventually converting this to hard competitive stax but right now I just want to make it viable. Like every 3rd game right now I will take control and win from one of my combos, but it isn't consistent. I already have Cloudblazer but the rest i will add and try to get.
