This deck centers on using Cycling abilities to put counters on Hoofprints of the Stag. Astral Slide and Astral Drift allow you bounce Auramancer or Monk Idealist to recur any runes you cycle for more cycling fun! Zirda, the Dawnwaker reduces the cost of cycling abilities. Crystalline Giant is just in there for funsies as a personal choice, so it could easily be replaced with defensive spells like Oblivion Ring, duplicates of other spells like Sigil of the Empty Throne, or synergy spells like Flourishing Fox or Starfield of Nyx. This is a slow, grindy deck that focuses more on defense than offense in the early game, and definitely works better in a multiplayer environment.
