Liliana of the Veil and Sideboard Plan —Oct. 16, 2017

Lots of thinking and tweaking and after dropping green and going dimir I've finally got my deck where I want to be. Was able to drop Rotting Rats and Compelling Deterrence to fit in Liliana of the Veil without messing my mana curve up.

As far as sideboard plan goes, game two I will switch out Gifts Ungiven, Bridge from Below, Haakon, Stromgald Scourge, and Prized Amalgam to avoid the telegraphed graveyard hate in the opponent's sideboard and choose either a control approach with Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize, and another Liliana of the Veil or a devotion black aggro approach with more Relentless Dead, Geralf's Messenger, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Will probably change more than anything once I learn the local meta.

Next update will be the first results of FNM

Thinking about it, though, you're definitely right about Collective Brutality against burn. My sideboard has been adjusted to include a full playset. Liliana's have now turned into competition for Nantuko Husk or Diregraf Colossus. I cut the lilianas for Bridge from Below

This is seriously the most fun and promising Zombie combo deck I've seen for Modern +1

Thanks!! It was tough cutting green and Collected Company. As soon as I get the Bridge from Belows I'm going to take it to FNM and post results.

Good hearing from you again Lothen! I've actually been toying with Inquisition of Kozilek/Compelling Deterrence in the sideboard instead of the Haakombo/Gifts against decks that are spell heavy.

Wow this deck is awesome! I have a Zombie EDH deck so I can appreciate all the zombies and token production. As far as suggestions go I don't really have much, maybe Gempalm Polluter? Cycle him after a few turns of making tokens and that could almost be a wincon. Other than that it seems like a really well put together deck, good job on being awesome!

Hey thanks! Gempalm Polluter is an amazing card that I would kill for in modern along with Carrion Feeder and Survival of the Fittest.
