Updates & Steel Seraph —Dec. 2, 2022

So! Having tried out Thopter Assembly and Terminus, they're both staying in the deck. Assembly is a little slow, but it can be very potent and earns it's weight. Terminus is a very useful addition, It's great in graveyard deck match-ups (which there are a few of in my meta) and you can pull off tricks using cards like Mazemind Tome to miracle at instant speed.. which is tricky to do, but very satisfying. However, both of my board wipes are potentially 6 mana now.. so I'm not so sure about Phyrexian Rebirth. I do like the card advantage that it grants, combining a beefy artifact creature with a field wipe, but it being at 6 mana makes it difficult to combo with cards like Your Temple is Under Attack. I might keep it as a pet card, but we shall see.

Also! Steel Seraph is replacing Arcbound Shikari Seraph is a better card overall, and I love the idea of hitting it with a Saheeli's Directive

Alibou caught my eye upon being spoiled as an interesting build around. I like the direction you went with your list.

Lodestone Myr really good at charging up the laser.

Emeria's Call  Flip does what for this strategy? If you are looking for indestructibile use Boros Charm.

Saw Seize the Day. I run it too. Waves of Aggression has performed well for me.

Thank you for checking my list out! I'd be curious as to what your list is like, I feel like Alibou is an underplayed commander.

I've tried playing with Lodestone Myr, but wasn't really able to make it quite work despite it's synergies. I think that a lot of the artifacts in the deck are able to tap themselves for effects, so Myr doesn't have as much utility as here as it might in other builds. That being said, if the deck does get re-keyed enough at some point, Myr is probably worth reinvestigating.

Emeria's Call  Flip is just there in a land slot to be honest, It's not immensely synergistic, but I do cast it occasionally, and worst case is it's a painful on etb plains. Boros Charm is excellent! I put it into pretty much any deck which runs the colors for it.

I can definitely see the utility in Waves of Aggression, being able to scry lands to the top to repeatedly and reliably get extra combats sounds awesome.

Alibou, Ancient Witness to the Artificial Sickness

It might have been outclassed by other legends from the deck. I enjoyed buiding all of them. As I write this comment, Osgir was my favorite to play just because of how unique and "Boros" it felt. It was nice to see Boros get some love from WOTC for once.

Lodestone Myr good point. I run the "continuous" artifacts that turn off when they are tapped and the Myr does that efficiently while also helping charge up the laser. If your deck gets more global/static artifacts reinvestigate.

The tokens are not artifacts. If you are looking for a land to do some work how about Sunbaked Canyon. Card draw in Boros is incredible.

Chance for Glory If you are looking for indestructible. Gives you another shot from Alibou cannon too.

I'll have a look at you deck! It looks like a cool list. It's interesting looking at the similarities and differences. Osgir is damn cool, it's been fun seeing a Boros commander get really popular, and he makes for a fun deck. I ended up getting attached to Alibou specifically as a commander. I really just.. enjoy the top of deck manipulation, combined with removal and aggro.

I'll probably stick with Emeria's Call  Flip for now. I had some bad games with Sunbaked Canyon , and the call is somewhat a pet card of mine.

Chance for Glory looks Badass, I love that it's effectively an extra combat that can be tutored with Sunforger .!
