So much for switching it up. —May 15, 2014

Undefeated at Modern thursdays.

2-0 VS. Mono-White "Pillow Fort" style deck. Although the deck was an amazing concept, and one I intend to eventually re-create, it unfortunately didn't get the optimal draws it needed and was defeated via Inquisition of Kozilek, and Thoughtseize early game and Abrupt Decay and Maelstrom Pulse later game. Phyrexian Obliterator and sideboarded Phyrexian Crusader saw to that. One game by beatdown, one game by poison.

2-0 VS. R/W/B BURN. Straight to the face. Managed to survive the onslaught by using Liliana of the Veil, Inquisition of Kozilek and Scavenging Ooze to destroy hands and gain just enough life to stave off death. Sideboarded Extirpate to prevent getting hit by the same spells.

2-0 VS. R/G Shaman deck. Used a lot of kinship and comes into play effects for shamans. Poor guy had to mull to five one game, and gave me the advantage via Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize and creature removal spells. I have seen this deck go off turn 4 so i considered myself lucky that I got optimal creature control draw.

2-0 VS. Stock Jund. This deck only has so many answers for the larger creatures Like Phyrexian Obliterator. Can't Bolt him. That would just be silly. And Inquisition of Kozilek removes Path to Exile before he enters the battlefield. And i think the saddest thing is watching a Tarmogoyf fall to Abrupt Decay.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel ? Curving Obliterater into him would drain 6 life. ANd if you have lily or a gatekeeper in play that's even more

I'm not sure. Maybe some of your sweepers? They are kind of anti-synergistic with the whole Phyrexian Obliterator plan. Or maybe the Geth's Verdict because it can only kill your opponents worst creature

Phyrexian Obliterator is mean, and has become one of my favorite cards as well. I have been working on a deck that started out with it as its central focal point. You can check it out at Phyrexian Nightmare. +1

I can't see why people run Phyrexian Arena over Sign in Blood . Sign in Blood is just so much quicker xD
