Why Platinum Angel over Karn Liberated? Karn controls the board better and is harder to remove.

Thanks for your comment, abby315! Karn Liberated isn't the most effective in Mono-U Tron because we don't aim to get Tron online early like RG Tron. Karn is the most useful when he is played on Turn 3 and is able to decimate your opponent's hand and board state. That's not to say that he's bad later in the game, but just not as powerful.
This deck relies on Platinum Angel in a variety of aggressive matchups to survive until we're able to combo off or present a board state of our own. Burn has to use at least two spells to remove her, and Infect often has trouble with her as well. Affinity has Galvanic Blast, but that's about it. The hard part in those matches is to get her out before you lose, but if she hits, your chance of winning climbs drastically. Karn doesn't pull you out of that hole.

Give me some time. I'll have some suggestions that will hopefully help. I'll be uploading some Commander decks and I'd like some suggestions for those.

Have you tried Warping Wail by any chance? It hits more than a few things and is almost a counterspell when you need it. Making a 1/1 to chump with occasionally is situationally useful as well. Admittedly, U Tron is outside of my sphere of knowledge, so I have no idea what you'd swap around for them.

Thank you for your suggestion, JaceArveduin! The issue with Warping Wail is identifying something that it would replace. All of its modes are relevant, but good enough to replace something in the deck? Not sure.

The closest thing I could see is the Spatial Contortions and Flashfreezes in the side. Other then that, I got nothing :D

@ JaceArveduin -- I wouldn't want to sideboard it. I have some very bad matchups with this deck so my sideboard needs to consist of "silver bullets" against those. The removal really hurts aggressive decks, and Flashfreeze is a catch-all against Jund. The latter is somewhat weak, but I don't think there are any matchups where I would want to side in Wail. If anything, it would be main as a 1- or 2-of and sided out when it's bad.

Have you seen Thespian's Stage? It could help accelerate your tron lands once you have them all out.

Thank you for your suggestion, Zaueski. Once we get Tron online, the hard part is over with respect to our land base. And, with a heavy dependence on blue sources, we have to minimize the amount of colorless lands that we run. If Thespian's Stage helped find a Tron land, then it would be a good fit. Unfortunately it doesn't, and doesn't produce blue mana, so I don't think it's a good fit here.

My suggestion, having played a version of this deck, is to cut down on a few islands (Maybe 2/3) and to play more Academy Ruins and maybe a couple Ghost Quarter or Tectonic Edge instead, as those will slow your opponents more. As for non-land, I would think that cutting 1 Snapcaster Mage and adding in a Crucible of Worlds (Maybe cut 1 Thought-Knot Seer for 2). That would just be a mana screw for a few decks, and eventually a Strip mine of sorts, once all the basics have been fetched out.

Thank you for your suggestions, Hero35. The land base is pretty tight as is, only allowing for one flex spot between one less Island and one more Ghost Quarter-effect or Ruins depending on the current form. Any lower on the blue sources and we start to miss the ability to cast our counter magic when needed.
I think your Crucible of Worlds suggestion goes hand in hand with the above- having only one land-destruction effect makes Crucible rather weak.
While some versions of this deck can play more land destruction, I've been happy with the performance of the current 75. Should the meta shift or I find that setting my opponents back on land even more (considering many of our lands generate double or triple theirs), I will revisit the possibility of more land destruction.

Why are you running Snap caster and not another tutor or hard counter? Just curious, haven't seen it done in U-Tron before.

@ Hero35 - You've partly answered your own question. I run it for two reasons: it isn't expected, and it has incredible synergy with Epiphany at the Drownyard. Putting him in one of your piles means that you either get him or the answer you've put in your other pile, and he can just get that answer back.
In a perfect situation, your opponent goes to cast something. You respond with Epiphany, revealing Snap and a counter, which you put in separate piles. You either get a Snap + the counter or just the counter, so either way the something isn't resolving if you don't want to.
Otherwise, he's just a blocker to reuse a counter.

It's a smart addition when you put it that way, not many people would expect a snapcaster in U-Tron. Well played, sir!

Hey, just curious if there is a build of this deck that plays 4 copies of Thought-Knot Seer? I'm a huge fan of that card and wanted to include it into a mockup build to test out.

I'm not aware of one DevoidMage, but I can't see why it would be horrendous.

What buildingadeck said. It's usually a pretty good play, though I don't know where the slots would come from in a stock build like this.

@ Clockwurk - Vapor Snag is ok, but bouncing any nonland permanent and drawing a card is very powerful. Repeal is a common staple for blue Tron decks. Ugin is also showing up a lot more in blue Tron decks as well- he's kind of like Karn is for RG Tron. Get him down early enough and it usually forces a concession.
