Cadaverous Bloom Deck

I can't take credit for this deck - I read about it some time ago in the 1980's somewhere and built a deck as close to it as I could. This is a trick deck that starts a cycle of drawing and sacrificing cards for mana and eventually casting the one offensive spell - drain life to kill you opponent in one fell swoop. Usually by turn 5 or 6 you will be able to start the cycle. In the early turns use Tutor and Impulse to get the cards you need in hand. In order to start the cycle you must have either Squandered Resources or Cadaverous Bloom already on the board and have whichever isn't on the board in your hand. you will also need at least 1 card drawing card - preferably Prosperity and Natural Balance would help. Against a counter deck you will need to have City of Solitude or Abeyance ready. Ok, the deck has two sources of mana - tapping and sacking your lands using Squandered Resources and recharging with Natural Balance to get 5 more basic lands and repeating, and the second source - sacking cards in your hand for BB or GG mana. Make absolutely certain you don't sack Drain Life if you draw it - that is your only offensive spell you need to eventually draw that card and cast it to win the game. Also make sure to save Prosperity so you can draw Drain Life if you don't already have it in your hand. Once drain life is in your hand and you have a lot of cards in your hand - sack them for BB and cast a 20 point Drain Life (or however many you need if opponent built up his life). You need to make certain your opponent isn't able to disenchant your enchantments or counter or redirect your Drain Life - that's what City of Solitude and Abeyance is for - cast one of those as early as you can if they're not already out when you start up your engine. Make sure to keep track of how many basic lands you use and sack so you don't cast Natural Balance and have at least 3 basic lands left to give you 6 mana. Also be careful with the Tutors and the Infernal Contracts so as not to kill yourself before you cast Drain Life. This deck usually only has trouble against a very fast creature deck or a very loaded counter deck. I have successfully won with this deck in 3 turns, but that is very rare - mostly 5 turns or 6 turns it wins. Have fun!!!
