Modern Budget

So a while ago I saw the Pathway Arrows and Deathtouch combo and I thought it looked pretty rad. This deck is a tweaked version of that deck.

Viridian Longbow is the key element to this deck's primary engine. The Longbow is better than Pathway Arrows in my opinion as it works out to be one mana cheaper if you need to re-equip mid combat. That one extra mana comes in super handy to keep the pressure on with another one drop creature. If you can get one attached to a creature by turn 3 you can start to implement a lock. Basically you kill anything your opponent puts down and slowly chip away at their life total. The Read the Bones helps mid game and works really well with Pulse of Murasa to keep the pressure on and a couple Tribute to Hunger handles creatures with Hexproof or Shroud. Archfiend of Depravity is a great finisher and is brilliant against tokens or swarms of creatures.

The secondary aspect of this deck which actually makes it work really well rather than just a gimmicky deck is that it's structured like an aggro deck. With 23 creatures and a planeswalker there is no shortage of cheap creatures which lets me bounce back easily if my equipped creatures get taken out. If your opponent tries to burn through all your creatures hoping you'll run out, they will be sorely disappointed. On the off chance your opponent throws in large artifact removal, take out three bows and add some more card draw and run the deck purely as an aggro deck. Archfiend of Depravity usually finishes off the game after your Deathtouch creatures trade one for one with your opponents creatures.

Side Note: This is not a deck to play with your friends, they will not want to be your friends anymore. This deck lives on a shelf and gets pulled out every now and then to bully around the new hotness in our local meta. It's acceptable to play with good decks, it's not acceptable to play with evil decks.
