This is a pure green stompy deck. Get a lot of mana very quickly with mana producing creatures and drop big, nasty green creatures with trample onto the battlefield and then stomp.
The deck takes advantage of spells whose strength depends on devotion to green.
Primalcrux
was the inspiration as its power and toughness is equal to your devotion to green. If you get two
Primalcrux
out, you have two 12/12 creatures with trample and probably more because of other devotion.
Then there is
Khalni Hydra
which has an amazing devotion to green of 8. It's casting cost is reduced by the number of creatures you have so all the small mana producing creatures make this creature a lot cheaper. And it is an 8/8 with trample. Get a
Primalcrux
and a
Khalni Hydra
out,
Primalcrux
is at least a 14/14 with trample.
Wild Pair
allows you to get these big monsters out in pairs which just makes them that much larger.
Fauna Shaman
is used as a creature tutor.
Defense consists of
Beast Within
(destroy permanents),
Heroic Intervention
(give hexproof and indestructibility to creatures for a turn) and the enchantment
Asceticism
(hexproof for creatures).
Shamanic Revelation
to draw cards for each creature you control.
