Saskia keeps hitting

Saskia keeps hitting probably could have avoided a loss and thereby maybe even won, but me being a bit of a prick killed us all in a five player game. Nolan on Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow was running away with it. I had six saprolings from an Aether Mutation that took out Jared's Soul of New Phyrexia. Those let me convoke to cast City on Fire plus the black Odric, Brutal Hordechief. Untapped and attacked all out on Nolan and using Brutal Hordechief's activation. Unfortunately, my Blade of Selves on Tireless Provisioner meant my 3-2 myriad copy attacking Doug allowed me to kill all of his creatures, with my triple damage. I could have left Doug, on Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, with some blockers, but alas, I killed them all. That meant Nolan was able to cast Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow plus a Nanogene Conversion, getting through with four attackers for 20 Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow triggers, which turned out to be exactly enough to kill all of us, me last of all, via Yuriko triggers. The last one killed me. Still dead

Effigies?

This is all just initial thoughts from a cursory glance, but I’m thinking Rite of Replication is going to be tough to cast, and pulling enough mana together for the Kicker cost is a bit steep to rely on. How about something like Mirrorweave instead? It’s tagged at the same cmc as Nanogene Conversion, casts at Instant speed, and makes all creatures effigies just like Nanogene Conversion (and unlike Rite of Replication).
CamraMaan on Interaction between Merieke Ri Berit …
1 year ago
Merieke Ri Berit is in play with five other creatures, and I cast Nanogene Conversion targeting Merieke, making my other five creatures into copies of her. For the sake of argument, we'll say all of my opponents' creatures are all tapped, so when their creatures copy Merieke they can't tap to activate them in response to my shenanigans. I tap my five copies of Merieke to steal five creatures. What happens at the end of the turn when my creatures no longer copy Merieke? Does this constitute losing control of Merieke, so the stolen crits go back to their owners? Or do I just get to keep all of them, and since the Meriekes that stole them are no longer, the untap trigger will never resolve?
