I dont know if you come up against spirits often... but because they run Selfless Spirit the needed Wrath of God effect can get hosed... I have found that Settle the Wreckage seems to be a good way to get around this because somtimes I just cant wait for Farewell.... speaking of spirits Skyclave Apparition and Phyrexian Missionary seel like they might have good synergy with Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines.

What themes or mechanics are you looking for?
Infect/toxic is better with Atraxa, Praetors' Voice.
Assimilating with Enslave, Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor, and Praetor's Grasp would probably be better with Atraxa, Grand Unifier.
Conversion and recovery with Birthing Pod, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Phyrexian Missionary, and Phyrexian Reclamation would probably also be Great Unifier.
