Rivals Update —Jan. 18, 2018

So I've play tested the crap out of the original deck before RIX released and everyone was right. Those old-growth dryads suck and don't do me any good late game even with the khenras. So I took both of those out and put in the new cards. With the ban on rogue refiners and attune, my meta is changing so I'm hoping to play this on Monday and see how it does!

Have you thought about Savage Stomp? It will allow you to trigger your enrage effects when you want to and is removal.

I would look at removing the Champion of Rhonas and Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip they are slow for the effect and you don't have any huge payoff for flipping the rites.

I think you are trying to do too much here. A good deck is a deck all on board to do one plan. I think Old-Growth Dryads needs to go. Replace it with another Commune with Dinosaurs, Blossoming Defense, Ripjaw Raptor, and Savage Stomp. I also think that Resilient Khenra is not that great, and that you should be playing at least two Deathgorge Scavenger. Lastly, Merfolk Branchwalker is a solid 2 drop, either drawing you a card or pseudo-scrying you at a 3/2 body. Feel free to take a look at my Stompy deck for inspiration, and thank you again for the comment there!

I know there's a downside for Old-Growth Dryads but with the khenra I can swing for 5 turn two and continue to beat with it while I throw out other creatures. Deathgorge Scavenger seems like a very situational card. It's gy remover but that's about it.

I usually find Deathgorge Scavenger more situational so I usually throw like 2 copies in my side deck, don't forget he can eat a card on summon to allow Rhonas the Indomitable to attack. Also consider Heroic Intervention to protect your creatures.

Not saying I know what to put in to replace it, but personally I hate Old-Growth Dryads and I would be thankful if you burned that card.

Looks awesome, but needs 2 more lands and a bit more removal, eg: Savage Stomp.

I would take out Vizier of the Menagerie, and I'm not sure about Old Growth Dryads - I dislike that they ramp your opponent.

Is Rhonas's Last Stand a good idea?

Thanks spempy for the comment! But I tried Rhonas' last stand but I don't like not have something to play turn three. It's great for a turn two body! And I run those main board now. I just need to change it on here.
