musicman3310, unfortunately both of those cards will not work with frenzy. No hate involved, but if you run into one of those topdeck with frenzy, it's just a dead interaction. I could see treasure map being good early game to help siphon out some cards early and extra mana. But azors is just to much specifics to worry about in a deck like this. Great ideas though!

So Coronablurr, I've also done some tweaking with your setup. I've only been keeping hands to where I could play frenzy on turn 4 to see how much value I could get out of it. Now mind you, I'm playing with a play set of both Chemister's Insight and Radical Idea with 2 Niv Mizzets. I put a playset of runaways in there as well because it's fucking fantastic! But I somehow managed to combo off by turn 7 by continuously drawing cards and playing all of my shocks and lightning strikes. Frenzy does some great work late game against golgari and tokens! The only time it didn't work is when you have a creature, land or another frenzy pop up. (That's what card draw is for everyone will say, BUT YOU CANT USE YOUR HAND XD)
But my newest thing to thwart that is to either run some flash creatures, or run some sort of self milling creature card to cycle through the top of your deck. It's something new to think about.

coronablurr, you're totally right about the Runaway Steam-Kin. I watched a mono red version with runaway and you can win by turn 4! That's pretty damn good since Standard has slowed down a bit. I want to test play with it on arena to see how it would fit in the izzet line-up! More updates will be brought afterwords.
So far, my izzet list on arena has been running no guttersnipes and two murmuring mystics with 2 undyable Rekindling Phoenix. It's such a great card for this deck because board wipes, or the inevitable Settle the Wreckage, has put a stopper on recurring creatures. But the Phoenix helps that out a lot. But other than that thanks everyone for the comments, upvotes, and list addition! Keep on brewing brothers and sisters!

I've been testing with it on arena. It's sort of difficult to find the right time to cast frenzy that won't screw you over. If you're in a situation where that's your only card in hand it's great, but I only see it working for storm control if you're not playing any creatures.

That is true! I was going to ask you about your PW! Have you play tested that enough to see if it's good? I mean I would run 1 of both if I could because both +1s are pretty good card draw/ jump start enabler. But I'm always worried about vraska's contempt on turn 4. Then again if they are going to contempt Niv instead of a planeswalker, that's their own mistake. Idk I have mixed feelings about Sahrkan and Ral.

Nice setup!!! I'm curious; how is Experimental Frenzy working out for you? I haven't tested with it yet, and I'm wondering if it's worth throwing in the sideboard of my deck to just change the play style.

FSims81, I want murmuring mystic to be on the list too. A 1/5 body that creates chumps is great. I actually play with two of them on my arena list. But for my meta in RL it probably won't be as good as guttersnipe or electrostatic field. Even guttersnipe is kinda on the side of garbage (which is why I'm only trying 2). On arena guttersnipe is removal fodder and I can only imagine it is in RL as well. But I'll keep testing and see what comes out of it.
Kizmetto, as said above, guttersnipe is just removal fodder. If they had some sort of protection I would play more of them. But that being said, I like the idea of drawing cards more and still triggering my creatures. Risk factor has won me so many games on arena because the opponent can't decide which is worse when drawing 3 cards is worse haha. Especially if they are at 4 or less life and I draw into a shock and a lightning strike etc. But I appreciate the advise! I will switch some cards out tonight on arena to see what would work better IRL.

FSims81, I agree with that card but I'm not always going to be in a situation where I'll have an electromancer. I think that opt is better at this point rather than radical idea because the scry is more helpful than just swapping a card for a card. You know what I mean? But I dont believe in that competitive meter. For the longest time it kept saying mono red/rakdos aggro was only 73% competitive.
