This is an agro deck. The idea is to get Avatar of Discord out as fast as possible with Desperate Ritual. Hopefully, you get Mass Hysteria out on turn one to out-speed your opponent. One-drop creatures like Bloodhall Ooze and Kederekt Parasite are meant to deal damage often enough to load up Quest for Pure Flame, which can be used as a finishing move.
