Hello this is my pauper Jeskai prowess deck, it combines pump spells and prowess to make your prowess creatures super big :D.
Here is an ideal game,
Turn 1: Tranquil Cove
Turn 2: Island, Jeskai Student
Turn 3: Plains, Distortion Strike + Hyena Umbra on Jeskai Student 5 damage.
Turn 4: Distortion Strike rebound on Jeskai student, Mutagenic Growth + Astral Steel on Jeskai Student 15 damage gg.
Instead of Astral Steel you can also use Temur Battle Rage, Distortion Strike can also be Aqueous Form or Ground Rift.
About Ground Rift, its highly situational but immense value if you can target some creatures.
About Mutagenic Growth, actually this deck is (U/R/W/G)... Mutagenic Growth is a must have, this deck is Aggro/Combo so losing 2 life isn't a big deal for +2/+2 and a Prowess trigger.
The Goal of this deck is too pump any Prowess creature too use Astral Steel or Temur Battle Rage to win the game, NEVER start a game without a Prowess creature or good pump spells. Eventually this deck is reliant on a good hand to win which is it's major drawback. Running 3 colors is problematic too.
For feedback, sideboard and land. Should I remove red? Do I need more defensive spells? Should I run different Prowess creatures/spells?
What is my worst matchup and what can I do to protect myself from it?
