Overdue Update and Price Tracking —Aug. 14, 2015
It's been forever since I've updated this deck! Though really not much has changed.
The most recent additions to the Lazav family are Stitcher Geralf, Recurring Insight, Treasure Cruise, and Mystic Remora. These cards have definitely been pulling their weight and are welcome additions to the deck.
As far as cards not quite pulling their weight, I feel like next on the chopping block will be Magus of the Coffers. I would love to have more ramp in this deck, but Magus of the Coffers just isn't cutting it. More likely than not it either dies before I can use it or I pay 2 mana to get.... 2-3 mana. I also am never really happy to draw Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker or Mortivore but they are both theoretically really good so I'll leave them in for now. I'll probably replace Magus of the Coffers with Chainer, Dementia Master or Increasing Confusion.
Also I'm going to keep track of cards whose price is approaching the limit (over $1.90) in the updates as well.

I seriously love Mind Funeral and I'd love to add it to the deck. Only reason I haven't thrown it in the deck is the format. If you want to play this deck and just use it as a basis for a budget deck as opposed to a 2DH deck, I would definitely throw in Mind Funeral, Mindcrank, Consuming Aberration, Cyclonic Rift, Havengul Lich, as well as a couple other cards =).

Guiltfeeder is amazing in mill. Especially if you'd break the 2 dollar budget slightly and put in Mindcrank. . .

godofcruelty Haha no big deal =). Guiltfeeder is a huge card in this deck. This card is constantly that card that opponents will pick up and say "WHAT?" I've won (or at least done like 20+ damage) with this card more times than I can count.
And trust me, I'm definitely not against putting in cards slightly over budget, it would just invalidate my deck for the format I play. It's like saying "this modern deck would be just perfect if you just threw in a couple Treasure Cruises..." lol =)

Have you considered Mind Funeral?
It's a $3 Uncommon, so you may not want to put it in, but it is great to have a 3-mana way to use Mirko Vosk's ability.
