The idea for this deck was shamelessly stolen from Travis Woo, though I had thought about it before I saw his deck. It looked really fun, and I wanted to try it out, and maybe, if I could ever afford it, put it together. Thus, it is a budget deck, and I will have to work my way towards the shocklands and Griselbrand (halfway to my goal of 4 and 2!). I also modified it so that it's a casual deck rather than a Standard deck.
The basic idea is to ramp with Heartless Summoning cost-reduced Crypt Ghast and it's Clone and Evil Twin (and a lucky Phyrexian Metamorph, which is awesome!) copies to play a ton of spells, extort them, then play spells that untap lands to continue the silly combo. Due to pricing, I've replaced Griselbrand with Enter the Infinite (somewhat). This makes the deck (very) slightly less smooth to play (if Griselbrand doesn't show up to save the day), and requires much more painstaking care to keep from killing yourself. It also forced the inclusion of Mnemonic Nexus in order to keep the combo going, as you can't draw many cards from a single card library. The Chromatic Lantern copies help to smooth out the mana base, which is very swamp heavy, so that the deck can produce more blue mana to play the important spells. The Frantic Search and Forbidden Alchemy are in there to help dig through the deck to reach key pieces of the combo.
Unfortunately, I took out the alternate win condition of Griselbrand and Kessig Wolf Run in order to cut down on the price of the deck, which means it can now only win on infinitely replaying spells.
EDIT: They're both back in! Woot!
In order to defend Crypt Ghast against early game burn and destroy effects, I tossed in a play set of Dispel. This weakens the combo and makes digging a little more difficult, but without Crypt Ghast, there is no combo.
