Story Time
Healer's Hawk returns from her scouting mission of Zendikar's vast, unexplored plains. Tired from the unending flight she spots her master in the expanse. Even from this distance their spirits link and new life fills her mortal shell. She soars speedily, but expertly, towards him and in moments they are reunited.
"Did you find any trace of him?" Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants, or simply Ajani Goldmane - as he is known through the Multiverse - asks his feathered companion without falter.
Not letting her fatigue show, Hawk answers without hesitation in her own language. The answer given roughly translates as, "no, but not without hope."
The cryptic answer triggers Ajani. Any other moment in time and he would be pleased by countering this conversation with his own esoteric wit. But this was no other moment. Innocent lives were at risk. Tezzeret was loose in the Multiverse. His menace showing no bounds.
"Speak plainly, my friend. What is it that you've found?"
Hawk obeys, but the answer is not easily given. She struggles for just a moment to find the correct translation. The creature type she discovered is not known by her species.
In a flash it comes to her.
"Winged-Holy."
Ajani's mane stands on end. He knows what she means. And just as a good master trains their pupil, Ajani gives her the creature's name in the common tongue.
"Angels," he said. And she repeated it back.
Ajani's leonin pride swells with new hope and purpose. Tezzeret may still be loose, but the divines have guided them here for a reason. Perhaps this chance encounter was repentance for what became of Elspeth... Regardless, Ajani scrys this path and foresees his next actions clearly. He must persuade the Legion's army of Angels to help him defeat the horrors created by the Planeswalker Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist.
Fate willing, he will succeed.

Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants and Healer's Hawk travel the plains and cast the summoning spell Ajani's Welcome to request an audience with the Legion's army of Angels.
Shalai, Voice of Plenty answers the call to action. The two mighty warriors exchange greetings, and Shalai agrees with Ajani that someone must Take Vengeance on the crimes of the Planeswalker, Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist.
Shalai, Voice of Plenty reasons with the Legion and convinces two more cherubs, Resplendent Angel and Lyra Dawnbringer, to fight alongside Ajani's cause.
Being an insightful strategist, Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants humbly requests what powers the Angels possess.
Shalai, Voice of Plenty boasts that her heavenly songs will grant protection against hexes for Ajani and his entire party.
Resplendent Angel assures Ajani that once enough positive energy is absorbed by their team, then she can create a portal to summon the Legion's Army onto the battlefield.
Lyra Dawnbringer guarantees that the power of Heaven will be on their side and produces the enchantment On Serra's Wings and the miracle Healing Grace.
Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants is greatly pleased, albeit, ashamed that his own contributions to the cause may be lacking...
After deep meditation, Ajani swallows his leonin pride and travels to his home world, Naya, in hopes of asking his once fellow pack for aid.
Ajani arrives on Naya and presents the Leonin Warleader with an Angel's summoning signet as proof of his quest. The Warleader is impressed with Ajani's accomplishments and bravery in choosing to return home after exile. Not wishing to miss out on his chance at glory, the Warleader agrees to personally accompany Ajani and his Angels. He also assigns Ajani's Pridemate to join them on the battlefield, along with the spell Dawn of Hope.
Not wishing to be without his own utility in battle, Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants galvanizes his position by offering the miracle Cleansing Nova and a bottomless vile of liquid from the Fountain of Renewal, both of which he acquired from his travels in the Multiverse.
With the almighty and ferocious powers that be, Healer's Hawk scouts ahead to the Planes of Ravnica where the Artificer's menace is rumored to be hiding in the shadows...
