God-Eternal Oketra Trigger

Asked by AxeOfHades 4 years ago

Hey all.

I wanted to ask does casting creatures from your graveyard, like reassembling skeleton, or crewing a vehicle trigger Oketra's first ability?

Please link all cards using double brackets so that people can see what they do.

God-Eternal Oketra

Reassembling Skeleton

Both crewing a vehicle ans Reassembling Skeleton 's ability are abilities and Oketra triggers from casting spells. So they will not trigger her ability. Casting a creature spell from the graveyard is still cast a creature spell though, so Gravecrawler will trigger her.

Sorry about that Gidgetimer. Dang that sucks. So, in standard, what could trigger it besides normal casting

Liliana, Untouched By Death -3 will let you cast zombies from your graveyard.

Vivien, Champion of the Wilds -2 creatures can trigger it at instant speed.

Chandra, Fire Artisan you can trigger oketra from her abilities, Experimental Frenzy you can trigger from creatures off the top of your deck.

Thief of Sanity creatures stolen from that will do it, as does Release to the Wind and Hostage Taker

Also things like Bolas's Citadel and Etali, Primal Storm . Anything that allows you to "cast" or "play" cards will trigger it.

Just for future reference, if you have questions about cards, rules, or card interactions, please use the Rules Q&A section. It has some added functionalities, including the ability to “Mark as Answer” a post to indicate your question has been resolved.

I have gone ahead and moved this thread. If you could please choose an accepted answer once you no longer have any follow-ups, that would be appreciated.
