Best humans in modern

Modern forum

Thought of making a tribal humans deck, which of course led to the thought; what are the most powerful humans in modern? So here is a list organized by color from the top of my head, and hopefully others agree! Note not looking for tribal humans advice just was wondering which were the most OP :p Also note this takes into account individual power, cmc, and overall playability in modern

Blue: Snapcaster Mage

Black: Dark Confidant

Red: Grim Lavamancer

Green: Eternal Witness

And now for the hard one...likely the only one to spark any sort of reasonable debate...

White: I would have to go for either Champion of the Parish for soul sisters synergy, Hero of Bladehold for all around beatability and game endingness, or Linvala, Keeper of Silence just because. The more i think about it, the less i can decide on any of these as a white standalone powerhouse, even Grand Abolisher seems solid though not played

Would like to hear thoughts on strongest guild colored humans as well! And definitely on white humans!

In green? Best human is Noble Hierarch by a long shot.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben for white. For blue, the case could be made for Delver of Secrets  Flip depending on the instant / sorcery count.

As some one who played Aristocrats and variants all INN/RTR season, I have to go with Champion of the Parish for best white human.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben is a tad bit more useful, though.

white: Ranger of Eos . nice card advantage sees play in pod and can fetch up a combo piece in one of the tier 1 decks.

Ah as i said, the list was off the top of the head, kinda blanked on linvala not being a human lol. Delver of Secrets  Flip is a definite possibility, i just thought Snapcaster Mage might have the slight edge and be in a broader variety of decks while delver is really in just the tempo in modern i believe. Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , Ranger of Eos , and Champion of the Parish should have been my top 3 white picks, in no particular order. Maybe thalia first actually lol

Delver isn't that great in modern. It's good but it's not remotely close to snapcaster in power level in a format without daze, force and brainstorm.

Agreed, but does anyone else think Noble Hierarch edges out Eternal Witness ? Not making any sort of point just wondering

Interesting, ive definitely seen its power in pod, but havent seen it in many other decks; is it also played in some bant/geist aggro?

No, it's just that mana acceleration is very powerful.

Also, Delver of Secrets  Flip is arguably the best card in Legacy. It's played in Modern, but much more in the older format.

I think I saw Knight of the Reliquary in some lists as extra fixing+threat in both Modern & Legacy lists, so she might deserve a slot.

Im going to just restart this in the legacy forum and include guild colored humans as well, going to take a bit of research but should be entertaining
