I....don't see it. Can someone enlighten me why this card is good? There must be a reason, and I see him in EDH decks, but it's just beyond me. Thanks.

The fact he can't be killed by board wipes or kill/burn spells, can't be a target for a spell cause it'd be pointless, makes him hard to get rid of.

ok that makes sense now. wipe then hit for cheap shot damage next round. Thanks man.

I don't think that's right. Wouldn't him attacking remove him from the game?
February 14, 2013 6:38 p.m.
I think people would play him to trigger etb/ltb effects a lot.

Norin the Wary pairs up with cards like Obsidian Battle-Axe and Pandemonium to shoot things on ETB.

I think that people use him as a Commander for A: The lulz and B: The fact that he'll be flickering in and out constantly. Warstorm Surge , Pandemonium , that one that trades control of creatures, things like that.

He's right, sadly...the Gatherer ruling:
"9/25/2006: Norin the Wary will be exiled if it attacks."
February 14, 2013 7:40 p.m.
lol correction, you're right
abdulbaqr, check that ruling.

norin is one of very few creatures to survive Terminus . He does die to Izzet Staticaster and the like.

One of few? He's like the ONLY creature to survive =/

this is why terminus is so great.
Progenitus ? terminus...
Emrakul, the Aeons Torn ?, terminus...
Norin the Wary ? terminus... NOOOOO
I cant off the top of my head think of any others, is it confirmed that their are none? Also, quick question... will playing Terminus in a commander game put their commander in the command zone or the library? Assuming he's on the field.

Oho, they get tucked into the deck and it's beautiful.
February 14, 2013 9:34 p.m.
Ohhh yes, and Spin into Myth and Oblation and Condemn and Hinder and Chaos Warp .

that's awesome. almost as much fun as Nevermore on their general.

Emrakul and Progenitus are affected by Terminus .__.

that's what i meant. It beats the scariest things in the game, but not little norin. I guess Iona, Shield of Emeria can beat terminus.

Unless I'm misinterpretting, he is saying these creatures aren't hit by Terminus

I meant that if you see the first two, you can terminus, but the third, norin, can;t be terminussed. so you rage at the audacity of the 2/1 that you can't kill even for six whole mana (or 1)

It's funny cause you have to kill it with a board ability like Royal Assassin , cause you can't Oblivion Ring or Detention Sphere it either

probably one of the most stupidly frustrating cards to play with, because he just doesn;t do all that much, but you can;t get rid of him. Makes commander as fun as it is, and since its a casual format, you can do stuff like that, just for fun.

I use him with reaper king and either xenograft or conspiracy so that any time he blinks himself I get to destroy anything (insert evil laughter here)

Maybe if there's something with an ability that triggers whenever a creature enters the battlefield?
