Strength of Bruna, Light of Alabaster

How viable is Bruna, Light of Alabaster as a commander? I pulled one from an AVR pack I bought on a whim yesterday and was thinking about building a commander deck around her.
I've got a bruna edh and she does pretty well, as long as no one messes with you. She can really take over a game quickly, if she stays around to do it. People will see her as a major threat and do everything in their power to stop her before she can get 100 enchantments on her. Typically if she stays around for an entire turn she's safe because you should have your deck loaded up with any and all types of shroud, hexproof, indestructible, etc.

The biggest problems you'll face are spot removal, sweepers, and sacrifice effects. If you can play around those, Bruna is a fairly strong general. You have plenty of options for enchantments in UW.

If I may...My Bruna Deck;An enchanted evening [[Bruna, Light of Alabaster]]I enjoy it, and usually don't get locked down, and when I do, there are plenty of other things you can use to your advantage since you've got blue and white!Remember to have answers (which I lack) or cards that will enable you to still control some of the later game situations (which I have more of then answers)!

I'd say she has a lot of potential. Cards like Volition Reins and Corrupted Conscience (as well as any Control Magic variant will make her really viable. Nevermind all the other valuable ones out there cough cough Indestructibility cough cough

I know that Ohthenoises have a very decent Aura Mind Trick Bruna deck. Might be worth checking out. I do also have mine, it's less competitive than his as I'm running much less control but could be worth checking also: Ridiculously Threatening Auras [Bruna EDH].
One of my favourite combo to protect Bruna, Light of Alabaster is Treachery along with Flickerform making your Bruna pretty much an impossible pain to deal with. It survives anything along with the usual All Is Dust

Alright, sweet. I put together a deck for her with the cards I had on hand to start with. I'll keep modifying it and updating it as time goes by. With any luck I can get my hands on some of the cards you guys suggested. :D Right now it's running 22 Enchantments, 17 of which are Auras, and 12 of which are positive auras for creatures, including an Ethereal Armor.

One of the cards I run over Treachery is Corrupted Conscience, since Bruna, Light of Alabaster cheats things out you don't have to pay for it but it gives the enchanted creature infect meaning that she is a 2 turn clock or a one shot kill with a +5/+5 boost of any kind. (Ethereal Armor works well and so does Eldrazi Conscription.)

Sorry, kind of an aside, but I play Mayael the Anima so I'm fuzzy on this. If you deal 21 general damage you win, or if a player receives 21 commander damage they lose? Does this scale with Infect?

It's 10 infect still. General damage or not. Phyresis is one of the things I'm surprised isn't included in more Zur the Enchanter decks.

Nm, 21 general damage from one general to knock any particular player out. Or...10 infect. Not likely from Mayael.

Not from Mayael no, however she can be used with cards like Phyrexian Hydra and Putrefax that can be targeted by her ability. The hydra can be particularly effective if you are running Melira, Sylvok Outcast as well.

She might make for a good champion commander deck. slapping a ton of enchantments on her and swinging till the cows come home is pretty fun.
