Mono-green combos?

Commander (EDH) forum

What are some mono-green combos in EDH? They don't have to win, just put you at an advantage. (They can win if you like)

Infinite, finite, synergistic, I don't care. I need some combo ideas for an Omnath, Locus of Mana deck.

Thanks :D

There are tons that involve Tooth and Nail , try looking them up.

The idea here is to get you guys talking about them, this way if I have any questions, I can directly ask the user who posted the combo. Looking up any combo using a card will only bring me to decks that use the combo, that's not what I want, and I've tried it.

I just don't know the exact combos, sorry. Was just trying to give you a suggestion.

Well, thanks for the suggestion -- I did figure out just now that you can use Tooth to get a fatty out along with Eternal Witness, and bring Tooth back to your hand. But I'm looking for straight answers because most other forum sites just include links to cards, rather than hover-over-and-see links, and a lot of google searches just bring me to decklists. Sorry if I came off like an ass.

lol Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest . Also Maze of Ith + Argothian Elder . those are the infinites. For synergy.. I dunno.

I was thinking about those two combos, actually. I really want to put them in but I'm not sure if they're too worth it considering that lack of non-creature tutors in green... Any suggestions on making those combos consistent?

This is your best friend.

What kind of combos do you want? Omnath, Locus of Mana doesn't traditionally use too many combos; it uses lots of fast ramp and synergy.

Well, the idea for me is an elfball deck core, like a lot of Omnath decks out there. But I want to switch it up and not play the boring Fatty swinging tactic. I just want to do something different, you know? At first I considered elf combos; infinite life, infinite tokens, infinite mana. But I couldn't find anything other than decklists online, and I came to the realization that anything more than a two-card combo may be hard to pull off in EDH without the black for tutors. Birthing Pod can help out a lot, and so can Worldly Tutor and Tooth and Nail , Green Sun's Zenith , and Primal Command -- but those only tutor for creatures, and a lot of combos out there rely on noncreature spells as well.

I just need some combos that don't necessarily go infinite, but follow the idea of, say, giving me 12 4/4 tokens on the field on turn 3. Roughly translating to putting me so far ahead of the game early on that I become a threat.

If I go the Hermit Druid route, what cards would I want to use with him in a mono-green deck?

Hermit Druid is useless in a monocolored deck.

Exactly, that's why I barely considered him. Hermit druid goes great in 4 or 5 colors, not 1.

This is a pretty good thread. I learned a few myself in here.

Infinite Combos Database

Honestly, for what you're talking about, an Ezuri, Renegade Leader deck seems like it makes more sense. Very few fatties and the natural ability to attack for a thousand on turn 4. Omnath just doesn't really do it for that kind of thing unless you 1) can draw lots of cards, or 2) relegate yourself to just winning the same old way with Omnath as you would in a fatties deck (i.e., attacking with a 100+ power commander until everyone's dead).

Besides, there are quite a few infinite mana combos available in an Ezuri deck, so it's not like you need Omnath's ability.

The way I see it, Omnath allows for the combos to come out faster, whereas any other general would have me rely on other cards to speed up my mana flow. Ezuri's better for a dedicated Elf deck. Mine's elves, but not exclusively.

And a really good combo this thread helped me find was the synergy between Sylvan Library and Abundance . Freaking sweet right there.
